Colin Montgomerie Golf Bag Novelty Pen Set, black/white, one size, CMGGPHC

Brought two of these as fun and novelty items for Christmas for a couple of golf fans. Really pleased with purchase. The set, although small, has a lot of attention to detail, the pens all work and it really is quite fun and quirky and makes a great stocking filler). I had just expected it to be little more than a fun item that would just sit on a desk but in fact it is quite purposeful too as you can also store normal pens in the holder. When the ink runs out though, I see o way of replacing the little golf club pens (it would be nice if spares are sold somewhere). All in all a nice little gift for any golf fanatic. Comes in a nice little box for easy wrapping. Highly recommend.

Bought as a secret santa present for my boss at a golf club. It's a nice desk size while the pens aren't too fiddly to use. It's a nice little present, and reasonably priced given the details of the mini golf club bag. Also came in a shop display -type box as if I bought it in a shop and not online, when sometimes products just come loose in a plastic bag. Very pleased.

...or so they thought! Exactly as currently pictured above, the set comes in a quality box measuring around 9 cm x 18 cm x 5.25 cm. It has a picture of the contents on the front, a few notes about Colin's key achievements along with a multi-lingual description of the product on the back and...tartan sides! Inside the stylish-looking BLACK & CREAM golf bag are three metal golf clubs, namely: ★ a driver ★ a putter ★ an iron all masquerading as ballpoint pens, one with red ink, one with blue ink and one with black. The relatively weighty 'clubs', stand in a solid (non-removable) tube in the middle of the bag. The handles pull off to reveal the ballpoints, although a bit of strength is required the first few times. They are comfortable in hand and write well once the point seal is broken. The ballpoint heads unscrew in order to pop in a refill when the time comes and the club heads also unscrew and are interchangeable, if required, as is everything really, including the little metallic ring which denotes the ink colour. Fairly authentic looking in ‘synthetic leather’, there is a lot of attention to detail in this little set, with the stitching, a working buckle, a carrying strap and a ‘towel ring'. Although the zips are functional, they have padding behind so I assume they are for decorative purposes. The signature name is on the bag in my set, i.e. ‘Colin Montgomerie’. There is also a clock with second hand, in a silver-coloured surround measuring around 2 cm overall in diameter. This is a neat extra and although the first set needed to go back because the clock was already working on arrival, the second set was fine with the tab in place. A bit of patience and dexterity is required for setting the time, with it working as you would expect a watch face to by pulling out the winder and rotating to move the hands – but it is very small! The clock keeps good time, to date. Out of the box...the bag, with or without the pens in situ, obediently stands stable on a weighted 4 cm diameter base. It is around 13.5 cm high, not allowing for the clubs sticking out the top which makes the height around 17.5 cm overall.

Great desk item. Shame the clock doesn't work.

Would not recommend this the clock was nt working so we put a new battery in and it worked for less than an hour. Not value for money we had to buy another gift for our friend

this arrived very fast which is impressive. bought as a birthday gift for my grandad as this is a amazing novelty gift and lovely quality design. I like it myself as it's good to save or collectors item. truly sensational

This is a well-designed product bigger than what I expected and it is quite sturdy and the pens write very well. Gave it to my mentor as a gift, he is pleased with it.Also, the small clock on the side makes it look even better and it works well.

Rather naff to be honest- had it not been a last minute secret santa I'd have returned it.

La qualité semble au rdv, rien à redire, très original, stable et de belle taille. Le produit est fidèle à la photo. Par contre, concernant l'horloge (très petite, mais proportionnelle au produit), je ne pense pas l'utiliser, très petite et il me semble que la mise en route (pile e.a.) soit délicate pour mes "doigts d'adulte" :-)

Il prodotto l'ho preso per un regalo di compleanno ad una persona adulta che l'ha amato al primo sguardo. Le penne a forma di mazze scrivono, ma soprattutto sono davvero belle, la sacca porta mazze è fatta benissimo e si regge bene in piedi. Poiché il prodotto va posto, di solito, su una scrivania o su una libreria, rende utile l'orologio, che però ha un difetto: regolarlo è impresa ardua, perché ha una rotellina piccolissima e delicata. Consigliato per un uomo adulto, attento ai particolari.
