Love the boot for lower leg protection
These are my third pair of snake boots and my second pair of Rockys. I found the quality and craftsmanship to be high. My other boots are a 9M and I ordered these in the same size and the fit is as expected. As my other pair of Rocky snake boots were water proof for the first year to year and a half before I had to start treating them I expect these will be the same. I get about 3 years out of a pair before the material in the flex area of the foot starts to wear out. I ordered the boots on Wednesday, they arrived on Friday. I live in western New York and snake boots are my go-to winter boot. I have worn this pair for ice fishing, snow shoeing and for work. I will also be wearing these for hunting and hiking year round. Because they can be laced up tight, when walking through deep snow it prevents snow from getting in my boots. With wool socks on my feet stay comfortably warm. I did have an issue with the boot bighting into right ankle but a little softening of the ankle area of the boot with a 2x4 and hammer seems to have eliminated the issue. (Shoe repairmans trick) I enjoy the fact they have both a zipper and speed lace hooks. It makes putting them on and taking them off very easy which I do 5 or 6 times a day when I wear them to work. You do have to be aware that there is a lot going on in the zipper gusset area so if caution is used when running the zipper up and down you shouldn't have a problem. I will definitely buy another pair.

Great boot
Love these so much I may get a backup pair since I wear them a lot for work. I want to point out one issue which is not a deal breaker for me. First of all they're super comfortable, very easy to get on and off just using the zip, I don't touch the laces ever. Another reviewer mentioned that the boot was tight around his calf muscles, I have large calf muscles and I have plenty of room. My issue has been: The zipper can get caught in the fabric. However, the solution to this for me has been to splay two fingers and run them up the fold, holding the interior fabric back as I glide the zipper up. If you find your zipper getting stuck, consider trying this. Other than that minor issue, A+.

there are so many really good things about these
First time I haven't given 5 stars to Rocky boots. Fourth pair. First, there are so many really good things about these. The sole is so easy to walk on, solid comfortable, gives great confidence of support and traction. The shoe part fits well supporting foot, no slippage but not overall tight. I walk a lot in snake boots, 6+ miles a day, the foot part is great. The bad part. Not sure if zipper causes problem or not. As others have said, these tear up your ankles BAD. I struggled thru 20+ miles hoping they would break in, NOT. Finally I went to store and bought pair of neoprene rubber ankle supports. Finally I can wear these in comfort. I almost gave up and threw them away it was so bad. I previously had 3 pairs of the 1570 Rocky boots. I could put those on and take 10 mile hike, extremely comfy. But when I needed new pair, couldn't find them in my size with wide. So I tried the lynx. Good boots, really tough on ankles. I called Rocky, either they were clueless about this or something. Told me to send them back warrenty. I guess they NEVER EVER READ AMAZON REVIEWS. Maybe they will look at this. Still awesome boots, tough on ankles.

Quality & fitment
Very nice looking & quality seems very good also . The left one hurts my ankle but i expected that because of an ankle injury 22 yes ago & almost any boot does it . Size wise , they fit great , a little stiff right now but that's expected with new boots , very comfortable & well worth the $$

HORRIBLE BOOTS!
I liked the price point for these boots, but once again I’ve learned the lesson that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I was wanting to get the Danner “Sharptail” snake boots (I have had a pair of Danner work boots for 2 years now. AWESOME! Held up well and so comfortable) but I went with the Rockys. The first time I put them on the zipper snagged as I was pulling it up on the cordura fabric that was hanging out on the right boot, but it pulled past. I could tell this was due to poor stitching. I wore the boots for approximately 3 hours while clearing snake infested area of property. I came in to take them off and COULD NOT lower the zipper on that right side! I tried and tried, and after 20 MINUTES my wife was able to pull the zipper down with a pair of pliers!! I thought I was going to have to cut the boot off. POOR QUALITY CONTROL!!!! The cordura is clearly inhibiting the zipper. They were also so stiff they hurt my ankles. I understand that it’s tough cordura fabric and would take a long time to break in, but not sure these would EVER break in. Needless to say I will be returning and replacing with the Danner boots like I should have done in the first place.

Love these boots
I took up hunting for the first time this year. I have probably walked about 30 miles in these boots. They are very comfortable. I purchased a size larger so that I could wear thick socks when it is colder out. They fit great. I would say that reading the reviews I was worried about the zipper breaking. I even got them stuck the first time I put them on. They seem to be metal zippers on my pair. My wife had to help me to get the zipper back on track but I noticed that if you pull the track together while you are zipping there is no problem with that. I have not stepped into much water in these boots so I cannot say how they far in water but it seems to me that you could probably submerge up to the toe box, but not over it, and still stay dry. After all these are snake bite boots not waders. I have not had a chance to try these with a snake bite but then again the whole point is to not be bit so I'm not going to actively search out a snake to try and bit me. The material is thick and I have confidence that it will protect me from a snake bite though.

These are fringing awesome!!! I order a size bigger to fit a waterproof inner just in case we have to walk through water at times. But for staying dry in the rain and ankle deep mud, not really test yet, so they could be fine.
