## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant progression
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 October 2020*

This band have steadily improved on every album, this album Kodoma is fantastic and the one after spiritual instinct is even better, possibly my album of the last year. I f you are new to this band start from the beginning, every album is exceptional, and they get better and better...enjoy the journey

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Compelling Return to Form
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 October 2016*

A welcome return to their blackened roots, this is Alcest back to doing what they do best. Whilst at it's heart it's still paying homage to Ride, Lush and My Bloody Valentine, Kodama injects the occasional blastbeat and black metal screaming which were absent from their previous release. I always felt it was this strange juxtaposition of styles which made Alcest so interesting and am delighted to see them incorporate them once more. Kodoma is a beautiful album, full of gorgeous melodies which wash over you in a fuzzy haze, an album to completely lose yourself in and one of the best of 2016 so far.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exquisite, layered and masterful strokes.

This album is great for you if you like music from bands like Opeth and Katatonia. The music has originality and its hard to make comparisons to the aforementioned bands.Highly recommended.
