This is a very good introduction to lock picking. The plastic handles on the picks are comfortable and stop them digging into your hand. There is a good selection of picks and torque wrenches. The practice locks are good; I was able to pick the padlock in a few minutes (either by picking or raking) but the Euro lock is harder. I've done one side but am yet to crack the other. Obviously being able to see what you are doing is helpful; the idea is to learn how to pick the lock by feel alone. Great to pick up an interesting new skill. I haven't received the email guide yet but bear in mind that is almost certainly a pdf of the 1991 MIT lock picking guide, which Google will find for you in a few seconds. I have read this guide and it is a very good introduction with lots of useful exercises; it will certainly put you on the right track. So you really don't need the email and I'd still give this 5 stars even if the email never arrives. The only thing I don't think this will work with is the 5 or 7 lever mortice deadlocks used in the UK (as distinct from Yale-type locks, which this ought to work on given enough practice). A mortice deadlock needs a fair force to throw the bolt, and the good ones have guards in the keyway to stop you from throwing the bolt by fishing around inside the lock. Those would require far more expertise; if you need to get past one of those then you probably need a locksmith!

I always wanted a set of real lock picks and i was quite pleased with this set. I thought the picks would be cheap and terrible but they weren't, they do snag a little sometimes because of a few sharp edges but other then that they are fine as long as you're patient and not too rough with them. the tension tools are strong enough to turn most locks without any trouble. the clear practice lock is very handy for training with and learning how to padlock's work, i can't comment on the other lock as i haven't really tried it but i will say it requires a different key for each side so it's like 2 locks in 1. the case is cheap but adequate for purpose. all in all this is a good cheap set of lock picks for anyone wanting to try their hand at lock picking.

Excellent set for beginner to expert . Sturdy , well made and ergonomic set . The practice locks are an excellent and outstanding add on compared to other sets for sale costing the same don't come with anything close to this set , practice locks are amazingly useful and informative the the novice to the sport / hobby of picking as you can see how locks work , they also enable you to enhance and hone your feeling and techniques . The fact that you can see what needs to be done starting out is an advantage/ a must right from the get go because when you progress to your front door for instance your sight will be of very little use . Theses practice locks and pick enable you to develop your feel how pins are reacting and help you to visualise what is going on in the lock . When success is achieved it is a real light bulb moment and the feeling is pretty awesome too . For anyone interested in giving sport picking a go and wanting to acquire a new valuable skill then this is the set for you .first rate set first rate customer service .

Great for a geek like me but thankfully won't get you through a British Standard.BS EN1303:2005. At least I can sleep more soundly, knowing no one can get through the main doors. Also helps to know, that I have three dogs that would deter anyone.

I'm a landlord and justified buying this for those times when people lock themselves out, i have no spare key handy or they have just left and i cant get in. Really I'm fascinated by the process and the challenge. This little kit is excellent value for money and you get quite a lot for it. The emailed instructions are thorough and interesting. Enough picks to find a favourite though I expect different locks need different picks? Picking the locks - after a bit of fiddling on the padlock I had it open in about 30 seconds and from then even with my eyes closed it took a lot less. The padlock is the easiest to open and is good for confidence. I managed to sort-of open the double-ended lock after fiddling for a few hours, on and off. If you get irritated with it you will not open it and I have found only light pressure on any of the components is necessary. I am still persevering as I realise that it is not only manipulation but a skill and 'feel' for it you can only pick up thorugh practice. I have lots of sprare lock barrels in the van I will have a go at, at a later date. I have only had the kit for 3 days so I must not run before I can walk. I notice that there are a few specially-designed pick-resistant locks about though. It really beats a lot of games hands down for satisfaction when you get a lock open - not only have you won but you have got one over on whoever. :D Go to YouTube - there are some really good examples there.

Overall a great little decent quality set for the price, for beginners the locks fully show how mechanisms work. The quality of the picks seem to be of good standard, however I've yet to test further in depth yet, with other locks of differing difficulty. My only criticism is that this was advertised as an advanced lock pick set and for somebody learning the hobby or trade a better guide for the cylinder lock provided would have been more helpful, as the step up to 'advanced' wasn't really clearly described in what aspect in the advert, i.e. Different picks, more difficult locks etc, but overall a good little set and for the price well worth it 👍🏻

This set was to replace another I had of the same price. These tools have been pressed out of sheet and haven't been de-burred so they catch in the barrel. Really disappointing.

Non pas que je souhaite devenir un bandit et m'introduire chez les gens en pleine nuit, mais j'ai ce besoin d'avoir en permanence les mains occupées. Avec ce kit, c'est chose faite. Il est très bon pour un débutant, la visibilité de l'intérieur des serrures permet très correctement de comprendre le mécanisme interne, et l'on se prend rapidement à essayer à l'aveugle. La difficulté des 3 serrures devient assez vite insuffisante à mon goût, mais les outils sont solides et variés (il arrivent qu'ils se coincent dans la serrure, mais j'ai toujours fini par les ressortir sans les casser, parfois en mettant plus de temps que pour crocheter la serrure...). Ils permettent de passer à de vrais cadenas, et la marge de progression devient alors infinie.

Compré el kit buscando un juego de aprendizaje y la verdad es que las ganzúas son muy cómodas y parecen resistentes. Además viene todo muy bien presentado. Me gustó mucho el detalle de que GG Import me mandara por mail un manual de lock picking al día siguiente de hacer el pedido mientras esperaba a que me llegara el paquete. En cuanto a la funcionalidad del kit he de decir que las cerraduras de práctica son geniales para aprender y que con la diversidad de ganzúas que trae tienes para probar todo lo que quieras, aunque al final realmente acabas usando las mismas 4 y los mismos 2 tensores para casi todo. Como única pega posible pondría que el estuche para las ganzúas es eso, un estuche donde va todo metido y mezclado, no es una funda con compartimentos para tensores y las distintas ganzúas, lo que no lo hace muy cómodo a menos que dejes fuera lo que sabes que no vas a usar.

Nach der Zustellung habe ich die Schlösser und Werkzeuge näher betrachtet.eine Anleitung wurde per PDF mitgeliefert. Ich war stolz auf meinen Kauf und den Freund habe ich ein super Geschenk gemacht. Er hat gleich angefangen sich damit zu beschäftigen. Seine Aussage: ein super Teil und Schlößer hat er auch noch genug zum Üben. Kurz - Er ist begeistert. Immer noch!

A chi non è capitato di imbattersi in una serratura che improvvisamente si rifiuta di aprirsi? oppure chi non ha un vecchio lucchetto (chiuso) di cui si sono perse le chiavi? Situazioni fastidiose che richiedono interventi costosi di fabbri specialisti o peggio. Mi sono capitate sotto gli occhi diverse offerte Amazon di set di grimaldelli destinati a chi vuole cimentarsi nell'arte dell'apertura delle serrature (senza distruggerle!). Mi sono infine deciso di regalarmene uno per il mio compleanno. La scelta è caduta su quello che mi è parso più completo. Infatti il set consiste in: il set di 17 grimaldelli veri e propri, dotati di una buona impugnatura in plastica e contenuti in una pratica bustina di similpelle. Un lucchetto trasparente da esercizio e una serratura fessurata (l'avrei preferita trasparente, come il lucchetto) da esercizio. Difficile dare indicazioni sulla durabilità del prodotto: certo non è materiale professionale.... è per principianti e per una pratica occasionale. Il venditore fornisce il link per scaricare un manuale di tecniche base di utilizzo dei grimaldelli (in lingua inglese o italiana). Il manuale (50 pagine non molto fitte) NON è specifico per questo set, ma è un opera generica. Chi non ha pratica di serrature è bene che legga il manuale per impadronirsi delle tecniche di funzionamento e della nomenclatura di base. Non posso ancora fornire giudizi sulla funzionalità del kit, in quanto richiede un po' di pratica prima di essere realmente utilizzabile. Farò un aggiornamento in futuro. Un plauso al venditore. Molto premuroso e attento al buon servizio al cliente. AGGIORNAMENTO: Dopo aver letto il manuale sono riuscito ad aprire il lucchetto in un minuto. Presumo non fosse di un tipo particolarmente sofisticato... Per quanto riguarda la serratura (chiave simile a quelle di sicurezza delle moderne porte blindate a cilindro europeo), invece lì non sono ancora riuscito. Ci vuole ancora un po' di studio e molta pratica.

Das Set macht einen Guten Eindruck. Es entspricht exakt der Abbildung und das trtansparente Vorhangschloss ist zum üben wirklich genial. Das beiliegende Zylinderschloss ist allerding nicht ganz so typisch: Die Stifte liegen Senkrecht zum Schließkanal und der Schlüssel ist ein Bohrmuldenschlüssel. Aber der einfache Baumarktzylinder ist fürs Training auch okay. Jetzt zum E.Book, welches es dazu gibt: Das ist einfach schlecht! Die Aufteilung der Texte und Bilder macht ständiges blättern erforderlich und die Erklärungen sind manchesmal so schlecht, dass man es unter 3x lesen nicht nachvollziehen kann, worum es geht. Nach der hälfte hab ich's nicht mehr weiter gelesen und einfach "drauf los gepickt". Hat auch geklappt. Ich fänds aber unfair, für diese Beigabe jetzt die Bewertung des ganzen Sets weiter zu reduzieren. Alles in allem sicher kein Profiwerkzeug aber gut für erste Versuche.
