perfect.. Very impressed with the way it looks and how it's made. The sound quality is excellent and it's easy to use. .... and when it's on standby the digital clock is very useful and can be seen clearly. There is no need but I splashed out on the rechargeable battery pack as well ... so now I have a 'complete' package Excellent value for money and delivered quickly. Very impressed

I bought this item to replace an older Pure Series One Classic Series II - they are the same size. The sound quality is possibly slightly better than the older model. The main improvement of this model is it has some station pre-set buttons, which makes changing between your favourite stations much easier. I use it with the Pure ChargePAK D1 rechargeable battery, which is expensive but worth purchasing. With the Chargepak it does take a few seconds for it to start up, though.

This is the second version of this product I have bought and I couldn't do without it now. It automatically sets everything up once you plug it in. It has a hard metal antenna, which is the best type for picking up the best quality signal The sound quality of the speakers is very good for this price range. Nice range to the sound with a solid bass sound. The alarm feature is very extensive. You can set-up; the channel, volume, time, snooze, weekdays/weekends/one-off. Aesthetically pleasing. The reasons it's not 5 stars; This is my second. The first one broke as the AC port in the radio is pretty flimsy. It started to become loose within a year but it survived for a year or two more. The presetting feature sometimes just deletes all your presets.

Have noticed with the different models by the maker, that there is no way to reduce the bass tone. Otherwise, it is a very efficient radio. This model, we have placed in the bathroom, and with its covering is fine. Easy to manage the stations with easy press buttons. One knob only at the side for volume. No fiddling about to find stations, especially cricket! Straight there on digital station.

Very nice radio ruined by poor instructions of station storage & recall beyond 4 to 20.

I don't think that there's any doubt about this being a decent radio. It's build quality is very good, and it feels nice and solid. Reception in my area is not good, but the Maxi is picking up a large number of stations very clearly, and without the aerial being extended. The sound is rich, and I like the choice of facilities it offers. So why only three stars? I've deducted one star because I've found that the buttons are not always responsive, and I had quite a bit of trouble activating the presets. The second star has been deducted because it doesn't have a carrying handle. It's designed to be a portable unit, which to me means that you should be able to move it about easily. The Maxi is fairly heavy, and you need to have a tight grip on it as you lift it up from the top, which is the natural way of moving it. The omission by the designer(s) of a simple handle is just a silly oversight.

I originally ordered the Pure UK Evoke D1 but, thanks to Amazon advertising it alongside the wrong D1 battery, I ended up being able to cancel the radio and not the battery which I had ordered separately. I couldn't be bothered to send the battery back so, I bought a radio that used the battery that I had ended up being stuck with. However, I am very happy with it. It is a little larger than I wanted but, that really doesn't matter. The sound quality is great, as good as my very expensive Roberts vintage style dab radio. It is easy enough to set up and does just what I need without a load of functionality that I don't need. The only thing as yet untested is it's performance on the D1 battery - I will comment on this later - hopefully, a lot later. I will be using it on battery only - it is supposed to last 20 hours so we will see. PS Have now been using this radio for a number of years and am very happy with it. The battery is certainly long lasting - I use it as a bedroom radio and it is never run on mains electric - only on battery and charged from solar electric. It is my best purchase from Amazon that I didn’t want - see earlier review. I am now very pleased that I did not keep the radio that I originally purchased and ordered this one instead.

I wanted a radio that charges from usb so there were very few options. It works fine but it’s a disgrace for the money. Cheap plastic. Pretty poor sound. Tiny stingy display (dab has useful info but this has about 8 characters to scroll it across). The battery is £35!!! Doesn’t support blue tooth headphones. It’s an absolute ripoff for the money and when you look the sound quality of modern Bluetooth speakers this is from a different era. It’s cheap rubbish basically. But it does charge from usb!

Radio wurde, warum auch immer mit kaputten Netzteil versendet. War sehr verärgert, da es ein super Radio ist. Nach der Kontaktaufnahme, wurde kostenlos ein neues Netzteil zugeschickt. Schade, dass es erst zu einer Reklamation kam, darum ein Punkt Abzug.

Der Klang von diesem Radio ist Fantastisch leicht zu bedienen und handlich wir sind sehr begeistert es ist schon unser zweites Pureradio

J'ai acheté ce produit après avoir acheté un Pure Evoke H2 qui m'avait bluffé par sa musicalité. Le Pure One Maxi S, sur le papier, semblait encore meilleur avec ses 2 HP capables de reproduire un effet stéréo. L'appareil est très volumineux, lourd mais surtout je ne retrouve pas la clarté et la dynamique qu'il y a sur l'Evoke H2. Du coup j'ai pris un Evoke H3 dont la qualité du son est tout aussi excellente que le H2.

Ottimo prodotto ed estetica raffinata. Buona qualità!!! Se avesse una maniglia sarebbe perfetto
