Excellent construction and puzzle
I still haven't figured it out. I wrote a computer program to navigate through the maze, but I haven't had time to use it to solve the maze. I had an easier maze, and that one was linear so that there was only one way to solve the puzzle. This one has large areas in it where the ball can move around freely, and it's difficult to solve.

Good quality, Good challenge, will buy another level as well
This one(level 8 of 12) was the first cube I bought so far and I will only go harder from here. For those with an analytical mind and like a decent challenge, level 8 wasn't too bad for a first pick. I knew if I bought an easy one I'd be disappointed/bored. I solved it in an hour of focused time. I'm going to try and solve it without looking at the map before I buy the next version. If you think it's broken or it's too hard, you're probably just lost in the cube. It's fun and a different type of puzzle, that's why I like it.

It is cool and hard
It is cool and hard. A bit disappointed that the one I received isn't as nice as the one showed in the product listing. They are black layers that do not look as nice as the picture and does not appear to lock in as nicely either. To remove the top so you can see in is near impossible without it falling apart and reassembling it layer by layer into the open cube.

Great challenge, lots of replay value
I don't even know how I found out about this puzzle but now I'm hooked. I started with this one and have subsequently purchased three others. The material is quite sturdy and fits together well. The puzzle itself is hard, but not maddening. I probably should have started with an easier one, but that's too sensible. I've done this puzzle several times forward and backward and doing it on the opposite director offers a different challenge than forwards so you kinda get two puzzles for one. On that note, there is a website linked from the manufacturer's website that helps you find a lost ball in the maze, but also creates new puzzles by re-ordering the internal levels from which ever puzzles you happen to own. I think for just the standard Awful0 pieces you can make 279 solvable paths. The replay value is quite high. This is a perfect toy for someone that likes a challenge but is willing to fail a lot. Once I got the hang of it it's surprising it was ever as hard as when I started.

Easy to lose the ball if the puzzle is dropped.
These Inside3 cube puzzles are all very good, this one will be easy or slightly challenging for 5-6 year olds. My kids enjoyed playing with them for a time, however, the 3-star rating is because they're quite fiddly. Inside are several layers of maze, which can only fit in one way, so there's no danger of re-assembling it incorrectly, but your smaller kids won't be able to do it. If they drop it, it breaks open and the tiny ball-bearing inside flies off across the floor. We have a couple of these that have no ball inside them now. So: nice small puzzle and kids enjoy it. But it's fiddly and easy to lose an essential component.

Well Made, Great Concept!
What a great puzzle. I was interested in checking these puzzles out so I purchased this one first. It’s fairly easy once you solve it, but it’s smart to get this one first so you can see how the puzzles work and have some success before moving on to the more challenging ones. Level one to me looks to be too easy unless you have a young kid that wants to do one. I’ve handed this puzzle to multiple people and most have a hard time solving it. Because of how great this puzzle was made, I have now ordered most of the other puzzles in this series.

that's fun to complete
Very unique puzzle, that's fun to complete, and fun to watch others try as well. This is the first one I did, and it was fairly easy for me. I had a few coworkers try it out, and some got it pretty quickly also, but some struggled and lost where the ball was pretty quickly. So I'd recommend starting with either this one, or one just slightly more difficult to see if this is something that you'll enjoy and not just get frustrated at. If this easy for you, it does have a little replayability just to see how fast you can do it, but it's more fun to just move up to a tougher cube after a few completions.

Good, Fun Puzzle!
While not very challenging for me personaly, this puzzle is a lot of fun to play with and the concept is solid. The 'answer' is printed on the outside, making discovery not a big issue (and, of course, no one need look at the maps!). After the labyrinth is figured out, though, it's just a matter of following the path to the end. And it does go both ways. Try solving without looking at the map!

I smugly thought I would breeze through this - I was quite thoroughly mistaken. This thing is effing impossible. I've been struggling with it for the last week or so. From gently pursading the little captive ball with gentle flips and taps to violently shaking the thing in pure rage. Excellently designed and deliciously frustrating puzzle. A perfect gift for some poor, unsuspecting person who you like, but kind of don't really like. I also bought the Mortal edition. I'm sick, obviously.

I recently bought the Novice Inside 3 which was really easy to solve, and so I thought I'd try something a little more challenging. Well, I'm finding this one more than a little challenging. I've tried to solve this three times over the last week and still not solved it - and this is one of the easier ones. It's a great little puzzle. Well made. Bigger than the Novice cube. And the good thing is if you lose track of the ball you can take it apart, get the ball, and reset it - which I've done a few times. A great desk toy. I would recommend it.
