Question 1

Will this stay in place on the sole (unshod) in a crevis from an abscess without wrapping? Or will it come right out? Decent size shallow area of toe.

Some of it will stay and some will wear off.  Everything that comes into contact with it will stick to it, bedding, dirt, etc.

Question 2

Can this be used on a horse who lives out in a pasture? I see that you can apply it to them using their shoes and then having step on Saw dust.

I applied it than instead of using sawdust, I used some hay chaff. Depending on if its wet or not in the pasture, it will stay in a while. If you really want it to stay in I would wrap it or use hoof boots to keep it in. I did like the product, make sure you use gloves to put it on.

i have a horse with thin soles front feet will it pull at soles once dry and hard does feel aoft?

I used it on a thoroughbred with sensitive hooves, post trims/shoeing...it gets rolled and pressed into the grooves around the frog, usually, then press some new stall shavings onto it to keep it from sticking to floor when you set hoof down. Wear disposable gloves as it is super sticky. Use baby oil to get off horse's skin if Magic Cushion gets on it..when you pick out the hoof, the Magic Cushion pops out like softly set dirt...not rock hard at all....
Magic Cushion is fantastic after trims, shoeing, long rides, alot of exercise...
