Protec Alto Saxophone Contoured PRO PAC Case with Flute Pocket, Black, Model PB304CT

This case is amazing! Starters...I picked up this case at the local music store for $200.00 in a color that wasn't my son's choice. After getting home I researched the case (to find reviews and a better price) and found it on Amazon for almost $80.00 cheaper with free shipping! I returned the originally purchased case immediately, and ordered it online. The case holds the sax and all of its components tightly, and safely. I like that the case is shaped to the sax with a molded interior and soft exterior. The only issue we had was with the strap that came with it. The combined weight of the case and sax is a lot for my 11-year old, so we found a strap that provided gel in the strap and it's made a huge difference in how comfortable it is carrying his sax to and from school. This case is amazing and worth the investment to protect my son's sax.

It fits both of the Alto Saxophones I've been using, and it keeps my sax, neck, and mouthpiece/ligature firmly and protectively in place. It also has several pockets where I can safely keep my reed boxes, tuner, neck strap and other accessories safely. Even two slots for pencils (and as my wise director from years ago used to say, "I'd rather you show up without your instrument than show up without a pencil"). So I really like this case. Plus, other than begin very functional, it just looks nice and professional as well. I haven't purchased the "backpack" option, but it comes with a shoulder strap that is strong and functional.

I bought this case to replace my Selmer case that weighed a ton. I absolutely LOVE it. It is light weight, easy to carry, and has plenty of extra pockets for storing neck straps and reed boxes. My alto is a Vintage Selmer Mark VI and I was very concerned about how safe and secure it would be in this new case. I have to say I am completely confident carrying my horn in this case. Despite being light weight, the sides are very solid and all the parts of my horn are held securely in place. Love the Velcro for the mouth piece and neck strap. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a smaller and lighter weight case!!

I'm a professional musician and work quite a bit. I buy these cases because they offer good protection and convenience. They are robust gig bags. The last case I purchased was in 2005, so I got 17 years of use before I just purchased the new one. These are gig bags, so you really must handle them differently than a hard case, but they will protect your instrument from the kind of handling you'd expect when traveling.

I'm a casual alto sax player and I frequently play with a friend who's on keyboards. Since the keys are fixed at his home, I'm the one who always travels back and forth, and I had been using a soft sided gig bag with a cushioned interior. Well, I learned that this type of case provides some protection, but not much. A bump against the door, a thump while getting out of the car, a tip-over onto the floor...these little things rattle the valves and springs. After 2 repairs within 8 months I decided to invest in a better case and I bought this one a few weeks ago. It is fantastic. Sturdy and firm, it's heavier than a soft case but much lighter than the original hard case that the horn came in. Lots of storage space with big zip pouches on both sides. My sax, neck and mouthpiece go inside the case. In the outer pockets fit my swabs, cleaning rags, eyeglasses, neck strap, reeds, reed geek, ligature and there's even room for more. The horn stays snuggly in place. There is little to no wiggle room for all the important gear. I highly recommend this case.

The best sax case I've ever owned. It's better than other pro cases twice or 3x its price, so it's still a great deal. I bought an early model in 2012 for $120. Besides the above I also like: - Excellent heavy-duty zippers - Quality stitching - Handles on the side and top - strong plastic "legs" so the case doesn't actually touch the ground when you put it down.. - soft padding inside - strong latches on the strap - optional backpack strap The new models have larger pockets with an organizer and the top handle is also larger. This company listens to its customers. Highly recommended!

The case that came with my 10 year son's alto sax was made of hard plastic. He said it was too heavy and the handle hurt his hand. I ordered this last Saturday and got it today (very quick). My son put his sax (Bundy BAS-300) in the case and it fit great. The case has side pockets (on both sides of the case) for the extra stuff that my son carries (neck strap, cork grease, reeds, cleaning cloth, etc..). I bought the option backstraps. They free his hands so he can roll his school backpack and carry other things (if needed). The case seems to be boy proof (very sturdy and solid). ケースでベル内収納は絶対に避けたい拘りがあり、プロテック社は個別収納ですからこのケースで３個目です。ほぼハードケース並みの強度です。ヤマハYAS62にピッタリのサイズで閉じる時極々少し押さえ感があることでより安定感が増してます。当然各キイーへの干渉は無いですから問題は全くありません。またケース本体左右の小物入れにストラップ、リードケース、スワブ、ウエス他メンテナンス品が収納できとても使い勝手が良いです。同じプロテックのハードフライトケースはこのケースに比べとても軽いのですが上記付属品を別途手提げで持つので結果同じ位の負担感になりますから収納性をとりこのケースを使用したいと思ってます。ペットボトルなら一本なら楽に入りますしパンも入ります。背負のベルト側のフックとケース本体側のフックが両方とも金属製で頑丈で安心です。ジッパーのツマミに小型南京錠を付けてロックしてます。身長177cmの私が背負った時も無駄に遊ばずデザインも良いケースです。また開いても開き角度もあって出し入れにストレスレスです。ネック、マウスピースをマジックテープで更に落ち着きを与えてるところはとても好感です。お奨めのとても良いケースです。
