I have the large version & itโs great
The smaller version was too small. Fine for vet visits but I have a kennel box so I returned it. I very much like the large brooder. It has been very excellent. Waterproof, easily cleaned & well ventilated. It gets changed up inside to keep the birds entertained with potted herbs, toys & perches of different types. The rent-a-coop waterer & feeder save floor space. The warmer that comes with the large was perfect for four until they were fully feathered. It fit well in the brooder & its adjustable height was crucial. I surrounded it with the available feather drape & the birds truly relaxed with that sense of motherโs wing. My outdoor coop build has been delayed so this larger brooder is housing four 8 week old chicks. I let them out several times a day in my cordoned off sunroom to clean & let them exercise but for now it does the job of a coop. The latch on the clear doors, which my birds have loved having to watch the outdoors through, is the weak point. It isnโt latching easily anymore. Having to tie it closed. But I recommend this brooder box for your first foray in raising chicks indoors.Update:My fully grown chickens are in their beautiful outside coop & run now. To help with their adjusting to the new space, I put their brooder in their coop. It was a comfort to them during the transition. I thought I would remove it once they were settled in but itโs their one year birthday & they still use it! Two at the time they go into the brooder box to lay their eggs! So they prefer to use it as their nest box despite the coopโs built in nest boxes. It continues to be of service as a comfortable place for them. I bought a second one in case anyone ever needs a โhospitalโ. It obviously is a familiar place of comfort & if one of them ever needs isolation for tending that will be a helpful advantage. So this product will continue to be beneficial in my pet chicken keeping.

Super cute
The brooder box arrived today, it was easy to put together. The material is a heavy cardboard with a light plastic feel on top. The top is easy to place, it has slits on top and all around for plenty of ventilation. I bought this because the chicks out grew the old brooder and we needed to get something bigger. Four chicks fit in it with plenty of room to grow. There is a light that comes with it and it lights the inside nicely, it doesn't give off heat. The liners are a must have, if you want to reuse the brooder again. I bought wood shavings to place on top of the liners for that extra absorbance. Over all it is super cute and works well for raising chicks before they go into the flock outside. If there any issues with it I will update since I just got this today.

will it last?
Overall a pretty good product. I only worry about the durability of the folding and unfolding if planning to use for a long time.

Good sized
**updated**I have updated this to 5 stars as they reached out and made it right in regards to the mat that came with it. Thank you! This is a decent size and easy to assemble. It is kind of difficult to clean & the bedding mat it came with wrapped around my chicks toes and got stuck with poop. I had to soak all of there feet and gently get that all off. Itโs a cleaner option than a crate BUT not worth the money.

Study utility
This is a really handy foldable brooder. It is sturdy but collapses down for storage.i only ised it for newly hatched chicks in the first week or two but it is a pretty good size for 14 in their first few weeks. Maybe more 8 chicks once they grow a little

So easy to set up and clean. Worth is and i just sit and stare at them through the clear door. Love it.

Either mine was used or everyone else is lying because this is cheap trash.
Huge waste of money and time. Arrived with damage, completely unhelpful instructions, appears used, base doesn't stay down inside the outer part. Advertises "30-second set-up" but took me over an hour to figure it all out since the instructions are so crappy. Cheap corrugated plastic. Can't remove waterer if theres water in it. Came with two crappy little plastic brackets to hold the food and waterers on the flimsy plastic. Already fell off once.I was so eager to get this as I had a bunch of chicks violently rejected and needed to remove from their broody. Id heard so many good things from chicken people I trusted. I have to keep it because the alternative is a cardboard box.Very disappointed. Won't buy from here again.

Safe from cat and the chicks from flying out!
It took less than a minute to unfold the Little Red Barn and assemble. There are only 3 pieces. The "Barn", the lid and the insert for the bottom. The top is made to stay on snuggly with 3 velcro areas. There are straps that are made onto the lid and velcro areasare already attached for you on the "barn," 1 strip in back and 1 on each end. The material is plastic and looks yo be made in cardboard style, except in plastic. Once together it is pretty sturdy. I am housing 4 chicks. The pictured ones are 3 weeks old as of 2/12/24. It is smaller in length than expected but, the description said it would hold 4, and it does. I wouldn't put any more than that. Plus, I also have the warmer, their food and water enclosed with them. If you purchase this absolutely buy the attachments for water and food so that you have more room than I do. I will be getting those in the future as these 4 chicks will be growing much larger. The lid keeps them contained and keeps my nosey cat out!! All in all it is a good investment and when done, it will fold flat again for storage and should clean up very nicely!! Paid $39 it will pay for itself in that it is reusable!
