has anyone bought these for boys? They all seem to be playing with them at school.

I originally started buying these for my 4 yr old daughter, but soon found that my 10 yr old son got just as excited hatching them Sure, the eggs themselves are what one might consider “girly”, but the hatchimals inside are what they collect & they’re just cute little animals of all colors. I don’t see why boys can’t enjoy them too. My son is REALLY hoping we find the mythical golden hatchimal soon!

Hello, we can confirm that there are no real “eggs” or egg material inside our hatchimals eggs (Colleggtible or interactive). The brittle/cracking plastic is a proprietary blend of plastics and calcium carbonate and does not contain real eggs. Hatchimals have been rigorously safety tested and meet all safety standards. They contain no known allergens. Hope this helps!

If you hid these eggs, like for an Easter egg hunt, would they be likely to break? I would like to include these as part of our Easter egg hunt

It takes some decent force to break the eggs. They will be fine to hide and use as part of an egg hunt.
