After returning two cheaper hosepipes I ended up paying extra for the tried and tested hose. Easy to assemble, sturdy and great quality. Plenty of fixtures and a nice gun support on the frame to keep it off the floor. Worth the money and wished I'd got it in the first place.

The Hozelock Cart with 50m of Ultramax hose is a heavy-duty solution for anyone managing a larger garden who is tired of wrestling with tangled, kinking hoses. The Ultramax hose itself is the standout here; it features a reinforced "Weatherproof" and "Anti-Crush" layer that makes it significantly more durable than standard garden hoses. It’s designed to resist the twisting and looping that usually leads to frustrating kinks, ensuring you get a consistent water flow even when you’re working at the full 50-meter extension. The cart design makes the logistics of watering much easier. It has a sturdy, wide wheel track that stays stable when you’re pulling the hose across uneven lawn or gravel, and the rewind handle is geared to make reeling that much hose back in feel surprisingly light. Because the drum has a 60m capacity, the 50m of hose fits comfortably with plenty of room to spare, which helps prevent the hose from bunching up or jamming against the frame during retraction. It’s a very robust, "pro-sumer" level kit that keeps everything organized and protected from the elements when not in use.

Relieved that this item was as described. Easy to put together and to use although it is a heavy item to pick up so always use the wheels. Handle rather low for my husband but suits me. Only four stars because if you have extended the hose a long way it has a tendency to kink and you need to check the kink is released before rewinding. Overall though very pleased.

Great hose that rewinds really well,light in weight than expected.Quick delivery

Not the best hose, as i thought it would be, having replaced my standard (much cheaper hose and reel set). Difficult to reel in, as hose is so rigid and heavy, also due to the weight, the cart wants to tip over (be careful with your mouth/teeth if crouching over it). Also due to the rigid nature of the hosepipe, the coils want to spring up when your trying to reel it in, so you need to keep the extended section tight whilst you are winding it in to avoid further coils/knots and tangles on the reel, which is all very difficult to do, hence the 1 star rating. Buy a cheaper unit, as this is the high end of the price scale and more hassle than its worth.

Good quality cart & hose

The order went from 48 hour delivery to one month, not much use in the middle of a heat wave. So I contacted Amazon , the item was out of stock at the local depot so they arranged a stock transfer and it arrived the next day, so well done Amazon. The hose is fine, and it does what it says, it does not kink and twist like other cheaper brands. However the cart is too small and flimsy for the length of hose supplied, you need to put your foot on the bottom bar to steady the frame whilst reeling in 50m of hose with water still in it, and that is awkward as it sits directly underneath the reel. The top handle extends and is held in place by plastic twist lock grips which need a lot of turning force to actually lock the handle in place, if you push down on it whilst trying to reel the hose in. As the grip locks are plastic and the amount of force needed to lock them in place I don't know how long they will last.

I expected this hose to require assembly but it arrived fully assembled. Not sure if this is how everyone gets these hoses but in the past hoselock items I purchased required self assembly of the winding spool etc. That aside this item is very good quality and will last many seasons

Badly leaking inlet connector. Seems mishaped and it doesnt have an o ring.
