This is the strongest stander available. I am very heavy AND I need to put a lot of pressure on a stander, so I found many of them to be dangerously wobbly or weak. This is so heavy and strong that it essentially cannot break. And if tucked under a chair or bed leg, it holds steady.I recently “stole” my living room one and added a new one, using them to create toilet bars/standers when my handyman explained that my walls and their supports were too thin to safely support a heavy duty wall mount safety bar. Instead, we used the extra holes on the base (there to allow different positions for the bars) to screw it to the bathroom floor. It is insanely sturdy and safe! Best of all, I was able to position one of them so that it was also reachable from the shower, making it much safer to get in/out!These also works as “safety supports” for walking. Before I switched to two canes, I had one anchored under a chair at a crucial spot where I often needed to stop and grab a support and rest. This was the safest and most comfortable way to do that.By the way, as indicated in the listing, these can NOT be used for walking, as they weigh over 25 pounds! They are best for helping you get up or supporting you while you stand.While these are big and not terribly attractive, the safety and comfort they added to my toilet and shower routines is well worth the loss of stylishness!

Exactly what I was looking for. Most bed assists out there are ones that go directly under the mattress, which I was able to feel while trying to sleep, thrown away many of those. When I saw this I bought it instantly, I had been looking for something like this for years. It is very sturdy, heavy base, the multiple bars help depending on angle you are grabbing from, and if you need to use two hands on those very rough days. Most of all no uncomfortable bumps from bars directly under you mattress!So happy I saw this when trying to find another bed assist, sleeping peacefully and much easier to get up from bed.

This is a very heavy and sturdy help to me. I had foot surgery and can only put partial weight on the effected foot. It works well (kind of front right side forward)caddy cornered under my chair. It seems very well made and has options on where to put the bar over the base. My husband assembled easily with hardware and tool provided. No instructions included in box. Keep looking for hardware if you cannot first locate it. Small plastic package. I recommend

I was hoping this would allow my mom to exit her recliner unassisted. she is just too weak and we bought a lift recliner instead. If she were stronger, I believe this product would have been the ticket. It is very sturdy- it doesn't wobble at all.

4/28/23: Very disappointed because it woul have been a perfect product. it came incomplete, no baseplate or bolts. Without those, the item is useless. This would have been perfect. I asked for a return, so we will see if it comes. If it does, the rating will certainly be a 5 star.I searched for a product like this for a long time, that is portable and can be used everywhere for my elderly parent who is struggling to walk, get up from a chair, etc.I asked for a return. I am not sure why they cannot just send the baseplate. I am supposed to return the railing, but it is difficult for me to do thuis, only to receive the same part in return. I just need the rest of the item to complete it. It said to return it so I can receive the replacement, but cannot send it back, so I am not sure if I will be receiving the replacement after I requested one. I will keep all updated with this.At this point, I cannot recommend the product if you only ordered this and desperately need it like I did for my elderly. Buy another product that will come complete.I requested a replacement, so my rating will certainly change to a 5, once I receive it and can use it. To be continued....

We bought this to use beside a bed to help a handicapped person get in and out. It is heavy-duty and can accommodate a good deal of weight. However, the base was not heavy enough to provide the stability we needed and instead tipped over. It would have worked if we could have anchored the bottom plate under a piece of furniture, for instance, provided it was heavy enough.Besides this, the height is not adjustable, contrary to the Amazon description. The paint did not fully cover one of the legs, leaving the metal exposed. The screws did attach the legs to the base, but the tool provided was wrong. It was an Allen wrench, whereas the screw heads accommodated only Phillips and square head tools; I had to use my own tools. So quality control is lacking.I am returning this.
