We already have an echo. So i bought this echo pop for my teen. Wow! Sounds quality is better in my opinion compared to the echo. The lavander colour is absolutely perfect for her was such a great gift. Great quality and value, shes so happy with her little alexa.

I bought this to replace an older echo device with a screen as I found the screen was keeping me up at night. I’m really pleased with this new version, it’s super lightweight which means it is easy to move for cleaning. I have it next to my bed and is an extremely useful accessibility companion! I use it to control the lights, control the heating, set reminders and alarms, play music and it probably does so much more. I have Hue smart bulbs and a Nest heating system along with a Dyson fan all of which it can control for me. The sound quality is much better than I expected, it doesn’t sound tinny at all! It also looks really good, so much better than any of the previous echo devices. I said to my family that Amazon could not have done this in a better colour for me, because the walls in my room are pale lilac which it matches perfectly with. Additionally, because it’s one without a camera it doesn’t feel intrusive in a bedroom, it blends in really well and I’m delighted with it!

I’ve had lots of echos all have pros and cons so here is quick (hopefully informed) review of Echo Pop: - it’s a good size probably about palm size and it is angled upwards for sound projection - sound itself is very good - way better than our echo show but not quite as good as our echo barrel speaker - we love the purple but it’s more an office or bedroom device than kitchen (where stuff like ring doorbell app is handy) - the volume and depth of sound is good and so so easy to connect - the wire is long and quite thin so easy to hide at back of desk - my one niggle is the flashing light on unit - it’s really distracting and I’d like Amazon to ch age this and it makes it difficult for me to put in my eyeline Overall great kit super price see video review for more details I hope this helps

I have had echo for years in various forms. The model I have been using for ages suddenly packed up. So it was out of warranty. I found I was so used to Echo I could not do without it. So I purchased this new Echo Pop. I got light purple, love the splash of colour. Nice new shape. The volume and sound cancelling buttons are clearly on the top and easy to see. As I previously had an echo to set up was ultra easy. Done in seconds. Putting an app on the phone you can modify Echo's voice. There are several different voices English, American and Canadian. Plus you can choose what sex you want the voice to be. There is also a place on the app, where you can call Echo a different name if you don't fancy Echo. There is also about 6 choices. I did try a different name. But I ended up confusing myself as I have always called my Echo- Echo. Another new thing is the lights. Several lights can come on now-ranging from yellow to green all with different meanings. Included in the box is warranty information and a really good little instruction booklet. Finally, it comes complete with a separate power adaptor. I like this new Echo pop, comes with a long wire. It's got a good sound. The voice is clear and easy to understand. I recommend this its brilliant.

This is perfect for my daughter's university room. She loves the colour, it was super easy to set up, and the sound is clear. It's a fantastic little resource and was great value at half price. Can recommend!

Edit:- I have had my Pop for over 2 months now and am exceptionally pleased with it. I am currently listening to Scala Radio and the sound quality to my ears is really good, I have it sitting on a wooden HiFi cabinet and the sound is clear with a surprisingly deep and clean base. The volume is set to around half way and this level is more than sufficient to listen to casual music, much better sound quality than any radio I own, only my hifi system beats it, but that's an unfair comparison as my HiFi cost a great deal more! Very Happy. By the way, the issue I experienced initially (and described below) has never reappeared, so clearly a one-off event. Original review:- I bought this during Prime Day(s), only had it one day, set up was easy because it was pre-arranged with my account, so connected to my wifi straight away. It replaces a 3rd generation Dot and in my opinion sounds better, it's clearer and with better base. The white version I bought looks contemporary and fits in nicely with the decor. The only problem I've had so far is that it was delivering a news report from the BBC skill then the Alexa assistant started speaking in the background, so I got two different voices saying different things simultaneously. Very strange, but hopefully just some teething issue, as none of my other echos do this at all. But given the price I paid (£17-99) it would be churlish to make a fuss, for that price this little Pop is the bargain of the century.

This was the single most difficult installation I have ever experienced! I have had many Echoes (at least 6 back in the States), so I know how to set them up. In this case I tried at least NINE times before I finally got it to work. I uninstalled and re-installed the Amazon Alexa app at least 4 times. Unbelievable! Guys, write a better installation! And give MORE feedback. This is just fricking nuts.
