The Art of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City & Arkham Knight

The "Art of Rocksteady's Batman" book is excellent! This is a big, thick book consisting of well over 300 pages - full of fantastic glossy images from the 'Batman' games. These are high-quality images from three games: 'Arkham Asylum', 'Arkham City' and 'Arkham Knight'. In addition to the beautiful images, there's lots of written material - by Daniel Wallace - exploring the universe created by Rocksteady in these games. This information is quite detailed, exploring the concept art and backstory of the game series. It's a little unfortunate that 'Arkham Origins' is omitted (but, then again, that was produced by a different studio). If you're a fan of the Arkham games, this is a treasure of an art book (indeed, I've never seen a better 'art of' book). Thoroughly recommended.

As a Batman fan man-child and a fan of videogame art books, picking up this book was a no brainer. Featuring the best art work pieces from Rocksteady Studios Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and the recent Batman: Arkham Knight, this is one of the best art books I own and even features some back-story on each of the games for the art work in question. It’s a very hefty book of a large size, so you will more then get your money’s worth here. I would say that this is a must have fan for Arkham fans, but this is a MUST HAVE for ALL Batman fans!

I loved playing the Arkham games so when I found out they released the art of the Arkham series I had to buy it and it was worth the price. This book is amazing, if your a fan of Batman or even just a fan of art books then you should buy this

Not impressed over the delivery time, albeit I ordered it in first class. The book is nice hardback, with some amazing colour art through and out. The content however is far than mediocre, not liking how it is structured and the heavy focus of gameplay screen shots and the cinematic trailer by blur; which by the way has nothing to do with Rocksteady. I bought this book specifically for the art of rocksteady, not the work of others...

If you are into design and graphic arts, this thorough guide will get you inside the studio of one of the most creative teams in the video game industry. From character sketches to set design and final renderings, this book has it all!

This book is huge!! It is also very heavy ... it felt like carrying a dumbell lol Our son collects conceptual art books and he was very pleased with this gift.

Bought as a gift., almost kept it for myself! Amazing art work from Rocksteady's Batman.

The book seems to aim to be a reference about the Arkham games, even though the "Origins" one is obviously excluded. It contains a lot of concept art showing how the game evolved in the mind of its creators and is punctuated by in-game renderings and screen captures. Reading the reported anecdotes reveals how close to designing a film developing a video game can be. The book is quite heavy and the paper of high quality. Its weakest point is that it speeds through "City", which I think is probably the game with the better visuals, atmosphere and character design. It is however something to be owned and kept along the art books sold along with the collectors edition of the games.

O livro é fantástico, os desenhos e ilustras são muito bem feitos, o material e acabamento são primorosos, sobre o texto em si, é rico em detalhes como foi concebido a trilogia da saga Arkham, deixando de fora Arkham Origens... pois este não é produzido pela Rocksteady Studios. Para quem gostou dos jogos ou é fã do Batman vale muito a pena ter em sua coleção, pois como foi produzido e a qualidade deste material é sem igual.
