We installed this automatic door lock on our bedroom door, and we’re really impressed with the quality. It feels sturdy, well-made, and definitely not cheap or flimsy. My husband handled the installation and said it was very straightforward and easy to set up. The instructions were clear, and it didn’t take long at all. The app is also simple and user-friendly. It connects easily and works smoothly. It’s perfect for unlocking when you’re nearby — it works based on close proximity (Bluetooth range), so you do need to be within a certain distance for automatic unlocking. The only thing to note is that you can’t unlock it remotely if you’re out of town or at work unless you’re within Bluetooth range. However, you can create passcodes, which is really convenient and makes up for that limitation. Overall, this is a really great lock, especially for a bedroom or interior room door. We’re very happy with it and would definitely recommend it!

This smart lock works really well. It was installed quickly and is easy to operate. The lock feels high-quality and unlocks instantly. It supports passcode and phone access, so there’s no need to carry keys every day. Even kids can use it easily. Overall, I’m satisfied with it.

This is a very nice lock and appears to be well made. It also works well so far. I left off a star because of a few minor details. I used this to replace an old Kwikset lever lock that had worn out after a decade or so of use. This was easy to install and worked well on my back door which has the deadbolt hole placed a little too close to the doorknob hole where this lock mounts. With the old KW I had to turn the inside unit upside down to make it work but this unit is short enough to fit properly. The fingerprint to open is great and works well although I did have to enter my thumb at 2 different angles and learn that I had to place the finger on it and hold for about a second. The minor details: (1.) There is no easy way to lock the door from the inside. A simple button wired to the main board through the battery connection cable should be incorporated in future designs. (2.) Locking the lock from the outside isn't easy either. You do it by touching and holding the checkmark key. This usually takes two taps on the key holding it the second time when it beeps. If I were writing the firmware for this thing, I would have made the fingerprint sensor toggle the lock. In other words, if the door is locked and a valid print is used, it unlocks. If the door is unlocked and a valid print is used it locks. So, if the manufacturer is reading this, please consider this change to the firmware. It is to me the intuitive way to do things. The auto lock feature is good but not for me. I want to leave the door unlocked until I want it locked. It should be easy to lock the door manually, without the need of the app. (3.) Making it work with Alexa was tricky for me. I bought the bundle with the wi-fi gateway because I wanted to control it remotely and also by voice with my echo devices. I first set the gateway up in the Smart Things (actually Brilliant Smart - Tuya) app which I was already using for other things. and added the lock. Everything appeared to work except Alexa voice control. It replied with a device not responding error even though the lock itself was working through the app. So, I started over and set everything up in the Nice Digi app. That worked except there is no Alexa voice control because Nice Digi doesn't have an Alexa skill. So, I tried a third time by deleting it from the Nice Digi app and again pairing the gateway with the Brilliant Smart-Tuya app. Third time was a charm as it all works now. This just may be an old man issue, but I usually breeze through linking up IOT devices. Maybe Nice Digi should consider writing their own Alexa skill instead of using Smart Life. I do like being able to lock/unlock the door with Alexa voice control as well as being able to control it from anywhere with the Tuya compatible app. So, I recommend buying the bundle with the gateway included. In general, despite my minor issues, I am happy with the purchase so far and expect I will enjoy having the smart upgrade from my old lock. I do hope it lasts as long as that old KW did!

Super easy installation, took me under 10 minutes with basic tools. The lock feels very solid and well-built, not cheap at all. Everything lined up perfectly and the instructions were actually clear for once. The finish looks clean and modern, and it operates smoothly every time. You can tell it’s made to last. Love the convenience love the durability of it,love how it looks love the security of it all it's very helpful and makes me feel very safe it's easy to change the code it's all great.

I bought this smart lock for my back door. It’s easy to install and set up, and it fits perfectly with my door. The operation is also simple. The lock is aesthetically pleasing and of good quality. I’ve been using it for a few days now, and the wireless function is very convenient. It comes with keys and wireless card as well. Multi ways to open the doors which is good .

After fumbling with her keys one too many times, my wife insisted we move out of the stone age and upgrade to a smart lock. I did my research and found a variety of locks, most of which turned out to be quite expensive. I noticed this one was priced competitively and seemed to have good reviews, so I pulled the trigger, and I'm sure glad I did. First and foremost, in terms of security you should be aware this is not a deadbolt. But if you don't need one like in a side door or garage entrance this is actually one of the few smart locks available that installs like a normal door handle instead. The lock itself is strong and secure, and seems to be well made. It won't weigh down your door or anything but has enough weight to tell you quality materials were used in the manufacturing process. Installation was easy, just like installing a door handle. In terms of functionality this lock offers many features. Passcode entry, fingerprint, key fob, and a traditional key, all of which have some pros and cons. For me, the fingerprint reader works really well - but only if my hands are dry. If it's raining and I get them wet (i.e. by closing a car door) the fingerprint reader won't work. The number pad is also a bit finicky. You have to wake the lock up first and THEN enter your code; that's extremely annoying. The key fob works well but man it has to be RIGHT next to the lock or it won't be detected. This is also not a great experience; the whole point of something like this is to eliminate fishing around for my keys right? The key fob for my car works as long as they're in my pocket; I wish this lock did the same. Nevertheless I feel that the lock offers enough options that each individual will find a method that works best for them, and in my experience it beats the use of traditional keys hands down. One final detail I am not able to comment on yet is the battery life. I haven't had the lock long enough yet but am hoping to get a solid six months out of each set of batteries. Oh and I almost forgot, the app to set up and manage the lock is terrific, a huge factor. It is definitely not an afterthought with this manufacturer. I did not buy the wifi add-on as I don't personally need it, but if you do have to let someone in remotely you'll enjoy the ease of the app no doubt. The bottom line with this lock is it offers a wide variety of unlocking methods (the auto-lock feature is also awesome), is solid and secure, works reliably, and is easy to install and manage. And for this price, you absolutely cannot beat this lock. This model has absolutely hit the bullseye in terms of offering the right value. I enthusiastically recommend this purchase. You can feel confident hitting the buy button.

Summary I installed this smart knob on our front door as a safety measure to prevent our son from eloping in the middle of the night. Because of that, I reversed the standard installation so the keypad and fingerprint reader face inside. The lock works very well in this setup, but installation required more adjustment than expected. Performance & Reliability Once I calibrated the fingerprint reader the right way — grabbing the knob quickly and at different angles, the same way I would in a real exit situation — it became very reliable. It unlocks fast and feels natural to use. The only time I get failed reads is when my hand is wet, which is pretty normal for fingerprint sensors. The door feels very secure once locked. The knob has a solid feel, and the mechanism engages firmly. Installation Experience This was the trickiest part. Because of the size of the keypad, I had to raise the deadbolt a few millimeters to make everything fit correctly. Not difficult, but definitely not a drop‑in replacement. Our front door originally had a long vertical exterior handle. Once removed, the old paint outline was visible, which meant repainting the door. Replacement long handles do exist, but since I installed this lock in reverse, that option wasn’t feasible. If you’re planning a similar reversed installation, expect some extra work and door adjustments.
