Caesar arrived today and in double quick time - only 2 days after purchase. It was extremely well packaged so don't worry about getting a damaged item. He is cast in tough, durable, off white resin. If I was going to complain and get picky, I would say that it's a pity that the staff he's holding is not exactly the same colour as the rest of the figure and looks like a green off white colour. Anatomically he is close to the original and, although the detailing could be very slightly better, overall I have no complaints. Except perhaps for the semi pointing finger. On the original Augustus of Prima Porta sculpture the finger is straight and on this figure it's slightly curved but I'll correct that. See; [...] Having said that, I am very happy with my purchase. I'm using him for a 1/6 scale model diorama and he will be perfect. For those that are artistically minded - I will be painting mine with an overall coat of buff or light cream. I'm using HUMBROL MATT 148 but the choice is yours. You MUST let this dry thoroughly for a few days or a week so the wash doesn't react with the base coat. After that I will give the figure a wash. That means thinned down paint of a mix of Burnt Sienna and Raw umber Oil paints. This will do a great job of highlighting all the detail, giving the figure an "antique" look and make the figure look very close to the sculpture shown above in Wiki. You can finish off with a little "dry brushing". If you've never done this process before then DO A TEST PIECE ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE FIGURE! If your buying this piece as a stand alone, unpainted figure then you should have no complaints. It really is well worth the money. My overall rating is 10/10.

This is nice and for a child would be lovely. It’s made from shiny silver plastic unlike in the picture it looks darker like pewter which I was looking for. It’s much lighter in weight than pewter and being plastic cheaply made. Hence why I say it would be a nice gift for a young child. I bought this for a adult so was disappointed. It definitely didn’t look the same as in the pictures.

Amazing item, I've bought as a gift for a friend. It's sturdy and made of great materials, the glass ball is amazing and the tiny blue gems are a nice touch.
