Pleasantly shocked at the feel of the 7’ 1” medium fast action casting rod. Not typically a fan of two pieces, but tired of spending $300+ on rods, I took a chance expecting the worse. It’s actually quite good and easily exceeds its cost. I use for my top-water top water rig. In a pinch could even be used for finesse lures that require extreme sensitivity like jigs, Senkos and worms.

If you want a great, reliable and quality product for a much better price than the competitors this is it. It’s a beautiful rod that you can feel every nibble on and the cork grip is a stellar touch. I cannot recommend this enough!

Have had some great red and black drum catches with this rod. Fast action and had the backbone to stand up to a 38", approx 30 lb black drum. Just bought another KastKing rod cause I liked this one so much!

Well made. Haven’t caught any fish with it yet but have been hung up a couple times and it’s held a hole lot of tugging from me.

I got the 7,10” heavy fast casting combo. The rod is great nice backbone but still feel a tick on the line. I use it as my frog rod. I got the combo with the matching Spartacus II reel and let me tell you it’s slim and sleek but it’s no slouch. I love all my KK gear and fish tournaments weekly with it. I have 8 different casting setups and one spinning outfit all KK plus today I’ve ordered 1 more casting and 1 more spinning reel. Next is the mega jaws reel. The only reason for 4 stars is my preference. It does have a long tail behind the reel but I wish it was 2” longer I have long arms at 6,1” and that’s my only complaint. Rods very sensitive like I said and the performance is that of a 300$+ rod. Little heavy but it’s a long rod. You cannot beat the price and performance of kastking gear period. Their clothing and hats are awesome too. I’m in Florida so it’s 100* plus now but the shirts breathe. I’ll have a new YouTube up shortly using and reviewing this gear, so look for Marty-RR outdoors.

As far as BaitCaster are concerned these may be better than most. If you don't adjust themproperly they will back lash less than most but it does happen. It took my 13 year old about twenty minutes to figure out how to adjust and use it. I have alot of high dollar rods and the rods in this set are comparable to many of them.

The quality on this rod honestly surprised me. I am not the biggest fan of rods that break down. But this one takes the cake. And the fact it comes with a spare tip is a bonus add on. For this price it’s a steal. The first rod I bought was a spinning reel and rod set. Loved it enough to buy this rod!

I have used this combo for bass fishing for several years. I can cast a mile with a Red Eye Shad bait or crank bait. The rod and real hold up fine pulling in six pound bass, perch, and pickerels. I have used it fishing vertical with blade baits pulling in a six pound bass. I have used it with lipless crankbait pulling in a six pound bass. I am still seeking a seven or more. This rod and real is a great value for the price and it is reliable. Yes, you get an extra tip but you will never need it. Mine sits in the shipping tube and has for several years. I have more expensive rods from Bass Pro that I like, but this combo is light weight (I'm 70), cast far, and reals in reliably. Would buy another but don't need more rods, just like my wife doesn't need more shoes.
