KAIWEETS Digital Clamp Meter 4-Mode Smart-Select Auto-Ranging DC Amp Tester | 600A 6000 Counts TRMS, Auto Self-test, Inrush, NCV, Temp, HD Backlit Display, Flashlight, Multimeter For Home DIY Electrician: desertcart.com: Industrial & Scientific

Review: Impressive meter (clamp and probed) - I'm giving this 5 star but with some minor reservations. I was slightly hesitant buying this meter due to the LCD and lack of switchable dial... Sorry, old habits die hard.... All my meters have solid switches or dials to select the test sequence/range LOL.. Now I have to trust an auto ranging meter???? Well, read on.... Overall, the meter itself works great. I have not tested EVERY setting but I did test voltage, current, diode, ohm, capacitance, continuity, NCV and temperature. I compared the results with various other meters I had including an old Fluke (still trusted). I've purchased Kaiweets products before and been very pleased with them. That was a primary reason for selecting this clamp meter over other brands. I did not test the auto feature... Sorry, again old habits die hard. I knew buying this you could manual select the ranges and I feel more comfortable doing that. What I liked : 1. Impressive clarity of the display 2. Very nice that in testing AC it also gives you the frequency at the same time. 3. On some other ranges, it displays the temp, I concluded that was room temp based on the consistent results I saw. 4. The case is a semi hard shell. Very nice indeed. 5. When testing capacitors, diodes and resistors, I did like that it would take a few seconds before popping up the readings. In all cases, the readings were consistent with the component ratings. I say consistent because in some components, you won't get an exact match to the rating (if you don't know why... Google it) 6. Feels solid in the hand. 7. The NCV (Non Contact Voltage) worked well but is a little finicky. However, I've got other NCV tools and they are just the same. It works... 8. The light isn't going to be seen from the Moon, actually not even from the other side of the room but it's a useful add-on. It works but I can't imagine ever delving into any electrical issue without full and sufficient lighting!!! 9. No issue with the clamp for AC current. Just as long as you clamp only the live wire and NOT just try to clamp a regular power cable/extension lead... (Clamping live and neutral together negates the metering capability). If in doubt, read the book... What I don't like: 1. The leads are rated 600V and 10A max. I replaced them with some better leads rated 1000V and 20A. For the average work around the home and fuse box, the supplied leads are more than adequate but I simply prefer leads with a higher rating and had spare ones laying around. 2. Oddly, the instruction manual (which I always keep with each of my meters) won't fit in the nice case!!!! This is mildly irritating. What am I supposed to do, keep the instructions and meter in the box it comes in? Throw the instructions away?.... I know it sounds petty but what's the point of them if they are separate from the meter? Would I recommend this? Absolutely. The issues I disliked are a personal irritation and trivial. All the readings I tested were accurate. Actually, they put some other meters I have to shame considering their cost. I'm not an AC guy so I would defer to a reviewer with that level of expertise as to how well this stands up for AC work. However for regular home electrical and electronic work (resistor, cap and diode measurements were really accurate), this is now my handy dandy go-to meter. I'll update the review about battery life down the road. It came with batteries but I didn't use that as I always use Duracell in every device. Experience has taught me to not trust no-name brands. I'll also update the review if I have any future negative experiences/issues. For now, very happy with my decision to buy this specific meter. I'm now a convert to "no mechanical dial" meters ;-)
Review: KAIWEETS Smart Digital Clamp Meter with D-Shaped Jaws, Clamp Multimeter with Inrush - This is an interesting meter that kind of does it all. I really enjoy it's compact size yet it still has a decent size clamp. The screen is very bright and readable but must be viewed from almost straight-on. Some people dislike the auto-mode detection but it has worked for me in most cases. The live non-contact detection has bright LED that also lights in the presence of voltage along with sound so no missing it in loud environments. It has a small built-in LED light that can work as a tiny flashlight but it's not that bright. I have found the current and voltage measurements to be more than adequate for home use and never regretted not buying a Fluke. In the photo I posted you can see the meter revealing a difference in charge current being reported by a battery app vs. what is actually being measured. I have several other meters but this one is now my "go to" meter and every time I pull it out and use it I'm reminded I don't need those other meters anymore. I would buy this meter again.

## Features

- Upgraded Intelligent Mode: We upgrade the clamp meter, which is unique in the market. The default intelligent mode can automatically identify and measure AC/DC voltage/current, resistance, and continuity measurement signals, making the operation more convenient and safer for electricians, DIY enthusiasts, House-owners.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why must a clamp meter measure current around a single conductor rather than the entire power cable?**
A: A two-prong cable has live and neutral wires; a three-prong cable adds ground wire. Current flows oppositely in live and neutral wires, canceling magnetic fields, so clamping both may show zero. For accuracy, clamp around one conductor at a time.

**Q: Can it measure temperature?**
A: Yes. It comes with a temperature probe and measures temperatures from -40°C (-40°F) to 1000°C (1832°F), making it suitable for HVAC diagnostics and automotive applications.

**Q: Does it support inrush current measurement?**
A: Yes. The KC602 supports AC inrush current measurement, making it useful for diagnosing startup current surges.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accurate and easy to use
*by G***N on February 28, 2026*

It's a keeper. The unit is easy to use and fairly accurate when compared with my Kobalt and Tacklife brand clamp meters. I will say the auto feature works great. I definitely would buy again.I will say the only three things I would add to this meter is a small philips screwdriver and a rechargeable battery and a back button for when you bypass your manual setting instead of having to recycle from the beginning. One last thought I am glad that the temperature readings are in fahrenheit instead of celsius.
