I am sure this works as well as a pricier model.
I bought this as a replacement for the OEM charger tat came with my laptop, which finally gave out after many years of solid use. This charger seems to be built just as well, and worked fine right out of the box. So far, it has given me no problems. However, it IS worth noting that the actual AC cord it comes with (which goes from the wall outlet to the charger itself) has a strangely shaped plug on the charger end, so a generic 3-pronged AC cord WILL NOT FIT it. That means, if you lose or get a short in that fairly standard kind of cord, you cannot find one locally, nor is it easy to find an exact match online. I have no idea why the company used such a weird cord configuration, when virtually every other adapter company in the world uses a standard cord that is easy to replace most anywhere. It's not like this company included an order form for replacement cords of this type, so I doubt they are trying to make money that way. I think it is just a strange flaw in the design. However, the unit works just as described. Hope this info helps.

Better than original Asus Charger
A new kitten decided to chew on my Asus laptop charger rendering it obsolete. Being disabled and a writer I needed one fast. I ordered this one and within a couple days I plugged it in. I am now back in business. It is actually much better than the original. I find it is sturdier and less attractive to my kitten. Thank you.

Review after 1 year-Excellent charger
I purposely waited for over a year of almost daily use to review this charger. It is still going strong and charging my Asus X555L. I'm very pleased with the purchase of this charger over one year later. Great price for a replacement that seems to work better than the original charger.

Electrical Noise Coming from Block
The block of this thing makes a terrible, high-pitched / high frequency electrical noise that is so annoying / loud I'm going to return it.
