The charger is well-built and sturdy with a beefy power cable. The design is light and feels like it is quality construction especially the handle. The overall LED and display is simple and clean, providing the right information. I looked across a LOT of the EV chargers and this one looked the best. While I had an issue with mine, Support was super responsive on the first request and follow-ups. This is really important. All of them can have issues. What differentiates the product and company is how quickly they address the issue. Very satisfied!!

I bought charger for my 2017 volt. It was cheap and I have it a try. Bag and accessory were nice. it worked flawlessly for 11months. Seems to charge faster than OEM. It died recently and I suspect it was the Florida heat (being left in car) and being thrown around by my kids. Since it was under warranty I contacted seller to see if they'll replace. I was very impressed. Seller was quick to respond. They required video and pics and sent replacement quickly. All within 7 days! Replacement works great! Awesome experience!

I need to leave a review cuz I bought this in July 2020 (four years ago) and this charger still works perfectly! Background: I own a Nissan Leaf 2015. I drive 50 miles daily for work and because of the range of this car, I have to charge it overnight almost every day. Charging condition: I live in New York, and I don't live in a place with a garage, I just plug the charger inside and leave a small gap in the window for the cord. The rest is always exposed to the outdoors without any issues. I've changed my car in the rain, storm, and snow season - without issues at all. Automatically stops charging when the car is fully charged: I've left the charger plugged into the car when I'm away for weeks, there's only a couple percentage of battery leaks because it stopped charging once the car is fully charged. Fair enough.

This product looks great. It comes in a nice bag and is just what I was looking for. But when I tried to use it, it slides nicely into the car charging port but it would not go all the way in and click in place to charge. I read the reviews that it is a tight fit and now I know what they mean. I have an electric Smart Car (451) and I can't get it to click in place. I suppose if I exerted far more force I might be able jam it in but it was just not worth possibly breaking the charging port plastic in the car to attempt this. Other chargers I have used (and that you might be used to) just click in as they are supposed to. Thanks for reminding me that I need to return it.

Used this for over a month now, it is not fast by any stretch of the imagination. However, if you don't have a 220V outlet, then this works for evening+overnight charging. It's definitely better than nothing at all our if you don't drive too much. The key is that it charges as fast as some of the more expensive level 1 chargers and is MUCH less expensive the three ones the manufacturer tries to sell.

It works well. Takes about 12 hours to charge 30 miles on my plug in hybrid. Bought it because the OEM charger was swiped by the previous owner of the vehicle. I've had no problems with it, except one time I tried to charge the car while it was in the driveway using an extension cord. This was a bad idea. The extension cord female plug melted and fused (although it was still charging fine), as it's probably not made to handle the constant high load that comes with charging. From then on I charge in the attached garage. (in cold climate, which hasn't been an issue, so far). I cut off the wire and replaced the ends (of both the extension cord and the plug). Now it's working again, but not going to use an extension cord in the future. Plug into outlet only.

When my 2015 VW E-Golf arrived from Carvana, I was so excited to take it for a spin. Except it showed up to me with 5 miles left in the "tank" and a level 1 charger that was non-functioning. I did my homework on aftermarket level 1 chargers: reading reviews, watching YouTube, and even calling VW Customer Care to double check that I could use a charger like this safely on my new baby. (I'm a newbie to EV's, so I've been super cautious about all the things related to charging and driving it.) After getting the all clear, I purchased this charger and it arrived promptly, in a nice box and case. I broke it out, plugged it in, and ZAP! The E-Golf was charging like a champ. And like some other folks have noted, it does seem to charge a bit faster than other level 1's. Mine charges on a regular 120V outdoor outlet (grounded) with no trouble whatsoever.

We have had this charger for 1 year and one month. It worked perfectly until today when it stopped charging the car. We can still charge on other chargers so we are confident that it is a malfunction of the charger.
