great aromatherapy item got for a family member who has dementia ,instead of putting it in the microwave i sitting on a warm radiator for a while to heat it up that way l'm sure it's not too hot, the weight of it is very good when they give it a cuddle the weight on their chest gives them comfort very effective,also good quality material gives a greay appearance,good value for the money l paid for it. as for the heat retention putting it on a radiator heat may not last long, but would rather have it on the radiator to be on the safe side from maybe getting burnt from it coming out of a microwave.
