I don’t normally write reviews, and I wouldn’t normally buy a tool like this on Amazon. I was reluctant because I didn’t like that the handle was sectional. I only bought it because I needed it for a small project—about 200 sq ft of ground prep for sod. I was struggling to get the area flat enough to satisfy me, and there wasn’t a leveling rake for sale anywhere nearby. This tool exceeded my expectations. The sectional handle clicks together with retainer buttons, and each section has solid plastic bushings that keep everything tight. They actually work. Even with all the sections, there’s very little slop in the handle. It is pretty heavy. My only previous experience with leveling rakes was on baseball fields, and those had aluminum handles—which was nice. But it became obvious pretty fast that a really good leveling rake costs a lot more than I wanted to spend for something I’ll barely use. I honestly didn’t expect this rake to be a keeper, but the sectional design breaks down small and stores easily, so I’m keeping it. If you need a leveling rake once in a blue moon, I’d recommend this one. If you’ve got a lot more ground to level than I did, you probably need something bigger or just a different tool altogether. If you’re maintaining something like a baseball field and using it regularly, spend the extra money and wait for a lighter, more robust rake. It works like a leveling rake. If you don’t know what that means, temper your expectations a little. If your situation sounds like mine, buy this one. I doubt you’ll be disappointed. Reading reviews is annoying. You can stop now.

Rake was easy to assemble (and disassemble, if needed for storage). I like th fact ha it has a long handle. It Did the job

Good product if you take the time and effort to make it flat. I was impressed with this budget leveler. Pros: -Sturdy -Long handle -Spreads dirt well -Saved me time leveling my lawn -Cheap and effective -Comfortable grip, but see cons about nubs Cons: to be fair, while there are cons I’d buy this again in a heartbeat -The handle clicks together in small shippable pieces. Makes sense in our current world, but rotating the handle has some slop and I imagine may fail eventually. Easy fix if that day comes. -The click together handle means lots of joints and raised nubs. This thing is not comfortable to use with two hands with a push broom motion. I was truly impressed with how sturdy it is for all the piece parts. The handle is 11 pieces. -This thing was not flat after assembly, which was expected unfortunately. I needed to use pop can shims to level it out during assembly. Maybe 30 minutes of extra time and a sacrificed can.

I wasn’t so sure about this when I ordered it but it arrived in two days as promised and did a great job. After arrival, I put it together in minutes and got to work. It is heavy duty and within a few minutes, I was leveling an area that was red clay with lots of rocks. Within just a few minutes, the ground was level and the rocks were removed. The handle is long which also helped. I have many places in the yard to use this tool.

One of the worst designed things to put together for something so simple. It also does not stay level after putting it together. Spend a little more money and get something that works.

Works really well and cost effective. Slides easily across the grass when leveling some dirt on my lawn.

Great product, however one design flaw is that the middle tends to sag down if overtightened, creating a u-shape when "flattening" product. This is due to how it ships, it's not one solid base piece, rather two halves that need to be bolted together. Good performance for the price, can't say anything bad!

Works perfectly, way better then a traditional rake. Strong sturdy, easy to assemble and easy for storage, as you can take apart.

Très efficace pour étaler la terre mais très lourd et donc fatiguant à manipuler (heureusement j'avais un petit espace). Contrairement aux images l'herbe est écrasé sous le terre et ne remonte donc pas comme indiqué. Je recommande toutefois pour boucher les trous.

Solid material and it does a good job leveling dirt. Easy to disassemble and re-assemble

I'm surprised how well made and useful this rake is. I use it to tidy up the gravel on my driveway and sidewalks as well as leveling dirt.
