SmartBones Medium Bones Rawhide-Free Dog Treat, Real Beef, 4 Count

I have two dogs, firstly, so I always appreciate even-numbered quantities of snacks (though I will buy two bags if I have to, in order to have an even amount). Odin has been eating these for 14 or so years. I've had Ollie (doodle) for a year now and he loves them also. We usually get the mini-bones which are otherwise the same as these and come in some different flavors, but we get these sometimes as an extra treat. They don't last as long as real rawhide, but the benefits are that they are chewable and digestible and safer for dogs. They last longer than soft treats, anyway, and the dogs love them. They also smell pretty good for dog snacks.

My 9 year old Dog absolutely loves these! Last delivery arrived on a hot day (90°+), & when I opened it to giver her one, it smelled like a beef pot roast! We're using it for a rawhide alternative, & while it doesn't last nearly as long, there's no choking.

We have been buying these for our Pyrador for 5 years (he is now 7 years old). He looks like a 184 pound Great Pyranees with a strawberry and creme labrador coat. We love these bones are made like a healthy, crunchy treat. His bite strength is probably around 500 PSI so they only last a few minutes but this treat is the highlight of his day. He knows when 8pm is coming and waits with bated breath. When we ask him "What time is it?", his entire body becomes animated. Once we give it to him, he runs out of the room where we keep them, drifting around the corner to the livingroom where he prances around before getting right to business. These bones from knot to knot just fit his mouth, the perfect size for a yummy bedtime snack.

My puppy loves these. They’re obviously much tastier than rawhide to him- to me they don’t smell terrible (the sweet potato smell pleasant even). The knitted and and way it breaks up is good, because the way he eats most bones scares me and he tries to swallow them down whole a lot. Longevity wise my pup doesn’t have a full set of teeth nor is he a big chewer so I don’t mind him stealing my shoes, and these last about 15-30 minutes....so they definitely aren’t for dogs who go through things quickly. If your dog doesn’t take a week or more to go through a bully stick, this will last just a few minutes. UPDATE I have gone through 8 packages and my dog hasn’t been sick. I’m sorry to hear some have had that problem, but my now 8 month old dog has had them half his life and they’re fine for him, he likes the taste, and due to the shape, I don’t see him choking or swallowing half a stick like I do with many others. Because he does manage to eat it all (it’s a good balance to me - not too hard, not too rapidly eaten for a herding dog) I give him a little less food.

My dogs loved these, but they are heavy chewers so they didn’t last them very long.

Extremely high quality dog chew that lasts much longer than other products, perfect for medium to large size dogs. Rawhide free, and my dog is always excited to get one of these every night.

I like how much moisture is in these bones, and they look good quality. They definitely don't give dry out my pup like some others do. Unfortunately, she does too through them in about six minutes, so they're not as tough as you might be hopeful. I would say they're probably good for small dogs, but if you have a strong tour, that's a medium or large size dog they probably won't last too long.
