MICROJIG FitFinder Lock Miter Router Bit for Woodworking and Joinery, 1/2-inch Shank, (MB-050-0750LM)

As advertised, have not had a chance to us bit yet.

This is far and away the best router but for joining. When paired with the Fit Finder it works flawlessly.

We bought this bit combined with the microjig fit finder. We were able to set the height of the bit on the first try. Fence adjustment still took a while but the fit finder fewture worked excellent and we were able to get high quiality joints with minimal effort

It is a process to dial in the correct settings, but with patience, this will produce a near flawless corner. Be prepared to use some sacrificial material and go slow and steady in the router table. We used this on white pvc trim boards to wrap deck beams, and seams are very visible, but with this bit and patience, you can't even see it. The instructions don't mention it but once your pieces are assembled, run the side of a smooth screwdriver along the corner to blend the edge, and it will look like one piece. I would definitely recommend getting the depth guage tool.

Microjig did it again, the innovation was right on par with their Matchfit system

I am 67 and have been a wood working hobbies since I was 16. I have built a lot of furniture. One thing I seem to have problems with is miters. I can spend 30 minutes with gauges and test cuts and cannot get a perfect miter no matter what. I have so many expensive jigs, yet cannot get a good miter. This lock miter bit and match fit guides were purchased. A dozen you tube videos later (I am a retired RN, and YouTubed paracentesis to prepare to help a surgeon do the procedure). I cannot get a decent miter lock. I was able to adjust it on some scrap wood, but when I tried to do this on a full sized piece of milled up and jointed multi species panels…NOPE Does not live up to the hype. This tool is a waste of good money unless maybe you became a professional miter lock jointer. I am sure with sufficient guidance, practice and much more expensive tools for set up with a few years of practice, I can get this to work. But, if you are a hobbies who enjoys making different projects, stay away from this lock bit and measuring tool. PS, it was helpful in destroying $50 of wood and about 10 hours of work. Piece of crap!

Not nearly as easy to set up as advertised and I also purchased the fit finder jig to work in conjunction with the bit and it still remains a pain to set up.
