Can I plug this into my non-Ubiquiti home router and use it as a standalone outdoor access point?

Yes. You will just need a Poe inserter. Data in from router, power+data out to access point. Controller software can be downloaded for free from ubiquiti website.

how well does this work with a nanoHD?

Is it possible to combine a nanoHD with 2 UAP-AC-M as access points? (unfortunately no cable connection is available for the UAP-AC-M)Or what is the suggested solution for the scenario:- only 1 LAN cable location (for nanoHD)- bad connection on the terrace due to triple glass (works okay-ish if 15ft glass door is opened though)I put an nanoHD on the LAN cable and wanted to put 1 UAP-AC-M right on the inside of the door, the second one on the outside of the door/on the terrace as access point connecting to the nanoHD.

Does it work in another country?

Yes I works outside the US! Just won't be able to take automatic updates and may not work with remote management via their key. I use it in Trinidad and Tobago, works well, just no auto updates.

What is the different this model over ubiquiti uap-ac-m-5-us unifi ac mesh access point, are they the same ?
