Super crisp picture quality and lightweight fit makes you forget you’re wearing glasses!
My kids keep stealing them, which is how I know they’re good! Haha. I’ve been using the Xreal glasses for movies and sports and my kids are playing videogames and doing movies too. Watching football with them is outstanding! I can definitely get used to watching a game on my TV and then switching to the glasses when I’m moving around the house. I can’t wait to use these during the Super Bowl. I’m in the kitchen or over the grill half the time so these are going to be perfect when the Commanders win (Commanders are winning, right!?). The picture is clear (how’d they get it THIS clear?! 😮), the sound is realllly good, I like that a ton. Kids say they like how big the screen is and how they can make it darker or brighter with the buttons on the side. I’m using an iPhone 14. Had to get the adapter for the lightning connector but that was easy enough. The glasses look GOOD. I’m not embarrassed to wear them in public. I think most people just think they’re sunglasses. They fit good for me and they’re comfortable. Maybe a little big when the kids steal them, but I don’t think they’re marketed as a kids product, but at least they don’t fall off. If I upgrade to the Pro model someday, I’ll let the kids have these ones. It’s crazy, but sometimes I forget that they’re on my face and the image is just magically beamed into my eyes. For what I’m doing with these, I have no complaints! Love the sports and movies experience. Good product, Xreal!

Incredible glasses to add multiple screens but the removal of software makes them not useable
These are great but the removal of the app for Mac that allowed me to use them with my laptop for multiple screens without extra hardware is a big disappointment. However, that said these are amazing. The speakers, the multiple displays and the clarity make these a great replacement for a physical monitor

Is this the future of gaming?
I bought the Xreal Air 2s mostly for gaming. I figured I would use them when I play to have a giant screen like the ads say. Well, just like the ads, the giant screen is super bright and clear. Depending on where I’m looking, it looks like playing on my TV or my PC monitor. I got the adapter so it’s really easy to with play my Xbox Series X with the Air 2s. Getting rid of wires someday will be completely revolutionary, but even with the wires today, it’s still a total game-changer. I feel like I don’t have to be hunched over my controller staring at the TV. Laying back on the couch and projecting the screen on the ceiling is super comfortable. Going from Xbox on the TV to on my phone was sweet and really easy because the glasses plug right into my phone. I have a One Plus 10 and got Game Pass on the phone. I use the Xbox controller with Bluetooth and that’s that. That direct plug in is so sweet. This will change how I play on planes I know it. I haven’t tried Xreal with Switch yet but that’ll be next. I like that these fit good on my head. I don’t have a small head by any means so once I got the right nose pads and then got the right adjustment on the arms, the fit is perfect for me. Getting the right fit made the image crystal clear, too. That’s an important part, I had to find the right fit and then it was a clean and crisp picture. The speakers are pretty good, too! I use my ear buds most of the time, but testing the sound on its own, its good to know the speakers on the glasses totally hold up. It’s helpful when I’m wearing them around work for my ears to stay open so that’s cool. I bought them for gaming and that’s pretty perfect. But I’m using them for background media a ton, like watching TV or movies when I’m doing things at home (and sometimes at work!). The easy connection with my phone is clutch. The bright screen anywhere I look is just what I wanted. I like how the carrying case protects the glasses, but the case itself might be too big for my pockets, but real easy for a backpack. Finding the right fit made it so much better. It’s a recommendation from me. I’m liking them and I and hope you will, too.

Lenses too small, too unconfigurable, overall downgrade from Air 1
LENS SIZE ISSUES: The Air 1 had LARGER LENSES, the part that creates the viewable area in front of your eyes. This means that with the Air 2, you get a smaller (less forgiving) display area that makes it harder to position the glasses in front of your eyes without blurring and cutting off at the edges. If anything, they should have made the lenses BIGGER for gen 2 which are barely big enough as it is. This is especially a problem unless you have a PERFECTLY SYMMETRICAL FACE with no variance in the vertical position of your eyes (not the case for many people). It will be hard to get both eyes aligned with the lenses. IMAGE ROTATION ISSUES With regard to the aforementioned note on facial asymmetry. My wish for the Air 3s: Make much larger lenses, and make it possible for me to increase/decrease the image size and ROTATE the image by physically moving the displays relative to the glasses frames to correct for facial asymmetry (doing this digitally would probably cause loss of resolution). This way, I could position the glass frames in a way that looks flat to my eyes AND get a flat perfectly level image. I'm not asking for much, my right eye is maybe 1-2mm higher than my left. PROS The color accuracy is MUCH better on the Air 2s, the Air 1s have very blown out reds and noisy dark areas. And the softer arm tips make a big difference to comfort. HOW I REVIEWED I bought the Air 2s and returned because it was impossible to position the image without edge blurring and severe perceived rotation. I then bought the Air 1s and found the bigger lenses to be much more livable despite the color inaccuracy and stiffer arms.

Maybe the best of this generation. SEE EDIT
It remains true that I still think these are great glasses, but I seem unable to get a pair without serious manufacturing defects. I've returned my first pair and gotten a second with the same defect, and I've had a long e-mail thread with support where they assure me the defect is rare (in fact, they claim they've never seen it), and are encouraging me to keep returning them until I get a good pair. So I reached out to other owners on the XReal ... forum, and so far, all the responses have been glasses with defects -- I'm unable to locate a single owner of the glasses who does /not/ have the defects. So... might be a good idea to hold off on your purchase for a while. The problem that seems unavoidable right now is misapplied polarization on the lenses. The screens inside the lenses look fine, but anything you view in the world is going to have distracting visual artifacts if it has any sort of polarized light. Which means, basically, any computer screen, phone, TV, glass, reflective surface, .... uh... like, the whole world. They will appear different in each eye and even if you don't pay attention to it consciously... your brain will definitely feel it. I've never in my life encountered glasses with this defect and I can't even imagine what corners were cut in manufacturing to make it possible in the first place, much less apparently endemic. Meanwhile, I'll leave the rest of this as I originally wrote it, but I'm reducing the rating to indicate the proper level of "recommendation" I can give this purchase. I'd recommend you seek out the forums too, it's not the only problem people are reporting. When you see folks who are super enthusiastic about their pair, just remember it doesn't mean theirs are defect-free. I was -- even still am -- super enthusiastic about mine. I just want the company to make it right, for everyone. ---- I've tried several of the current-generation of "AR" (no AR included) glasses. It's really more accurate to call them a HMD, head mounted display. Of the current crop (Viture, XReal, Rokid... and some others) these are my pick for the best glasses. The appearance of the screen is very large -- if you see a claim of a larger screen on another pair and think "maybe I need that" you don't. You will only find yourself wishing this one were just a little smaller*. If you've tried prior generations of HMD (like the vufine, vuzix, movio, uh, pretty much anything people use for drones, ... the list goes on) you will find this a remarkable upgrade**. We've finally reached the point where it's legitimately useful for media and work, and I have no problem with my i3 desktop on it. (* in fact some suggest getting a different pair for that reason.) (** I'm not a kid for a long time now, and couldn't tell you if there is latency in the display, much less enough to make droning difficult, because my reflexes aren't sharp like that anymore. ) Things to consider: This has the thinnest arms of the bunch and that counts for a lot, especially if you wear headphones. The new flexible ends don't sound like much of a feature, but I challenge you to survive the pinch of the Viture glasses. The sound isn't going to compete with big cans but the arms are thin enough you can put big cans on with it if you like. I find the sound to be good enough that I'm not reacing for the headphones often. The electrochome (only on the Air 2 Pro) is nice, but not a game changer and if you need blackness, you will be reaching for the included shades. The base tint is honestly a little strong, but not significantly different than the rest of the crop, so if you don't like it, you don't have much option. The software, you may have heard, hasn't been fantastic, but if you're just using this as a monitor, you don't need to care about that. It's a display, it's attached to your head, if that's cool, you should probably buy this right now. If you want the screen to be 'pinned' in physical space in your room, or to slowly follow you when you turn your head, you might need to care about the software. That may require you to buy the "Beam" accessory and I can't recommend it. It's functional, it does what it claims, but you're likely to be disappointed. You can look into alternatives, though; the very poorly named "Nebula" app *might* work on your phone, if you're lucky, or on Windows (not sure about mac) and if you are a linux user and want the fun options you can get them, kind of, if you google around for the linux XReal driver*, an unofficial third-party user-space "driver", but it's open source, so you don't have to trust me or the guy who wrote it. If none of that suits you and you really have to use the Beam (e.g. for connecting directly a Nintendo Switch) these still may be the best choice on the market, but you might also want to do a little comparison shopping on your own. (* Did you know the Steam Deck is Arch linux? Did you know the "decky" software can automatically install this driver for you and you can use it for all the things on the Deck? If you're thinking about buying these glasses for a deck IDK why you're still reading. Go click "buy now.")

Super comfortable, bright screen, easy to use.
I love these! I’ve had several “VR Glasses” over the years and these are by far the best and the ones I use - and will continue to use - instead of the others. Super easy to get started right out of the box. Love how they feel, very comfortable on my face, especially with the alternative/flexible nosepieces that they come with, as well as the fact that they're very lightweight. Also, I have deepset eyes, so it’s great that the nosepiece can be adjusted to bring the glasses closer to my face. All this makes them easy to wear on your face for long periods of time, which is kind of the point, right? I really love the fact that I can stream movies & videos or do work without the stress on my neck and lower back, which I have a lot of problems with, no matter how ergonomic I make my computer setup. I love being able to lie down and use. I used to have a home cinema set up when I had a larger apartment but am now in a small studio without space for it, so this is a great alternative to that - for one person, anyway. It would be great if there was a splitter cable that would allow me to watch with someone else who has the glasses! That said, using by myself also has the added benefit of keeping others from seeing what you're watching or doing. Ideal if you’re a public transportation commuter or like to work in cafes and have a lot of stuff you want to keep private. The screen itself is bright (and adjustable), clear, and readable, even though my vision is not 20/20. Despite my minor vision problem, the brightness of the screen makes it easy to see everything with only minor blurriness. Still, I’m going to go ahead and get prescription lenses for the insert frame provided by XReal in the package. It would be great if you could just focus the screen on the device, but that would require way more complex optics/lenses and controls, which would only make it a lot more expensive, heavier, and less comfortable (which would defeat the purpose. And you’d have to have separate adjustments for each eye for those with astigmatism, etc. So the prescription insert is the ideal solution.) All in all, these are great glasses and I’m having a lot of fun using them with my phone and my laptop.

Almost perfect…if you don’t wear glasses
I have a pair of Rokid Maxes and wanted to see how these compare because I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the Rokids for the cost. TL;DR - the Air 2’s lack of myopia adjustments and a lower refresh rate are the only negatives but they make them completely unusable for me. When I took these out of the box I was excited. They’re smaller, lighter, look better, SUPER comfortable and even the case is less bulky than the Rokids. They also block out more of the surrounding environment which is something I was hoping for. Then I turned them on and everything changed. The screen was about the same size and the sharpness and colors are great. I have issues with the Rokids being blurry around the edges but it’s tolerable since I only want them for watching media content and not working in an AR environment and that was a non-issue with the Xreals. The sound wasn't better than the Rokids but it’s less audible to those around you. They even ran less hot than the Rokids. Everything seemed perfect. Then I realized everything was blurry. I’m not nearsighted and I don’t need glasses to see anything on a tv clearly. But this? All text and even the images were blurry. I had a similar experience with the Rokids but I adjusted the myopic dials and everything was fine. The Xreals don’t have that (which is odd seeing as how almost every other brand does) so the only option is to get custom prescription inserts made. You can get them for about $60 USD but I refuse to spend that after spending $400 for the glasses themselves. Trying to make this work, I shoved my glasses in to see how much of a difference it would make. These are a little less bright than the Rokids but still not bad. But then the lower refresh rate became noticeable. Video on the Rokids is VERY smooth. These look terrible when a lot of action/fast movement is happening on screen. So even if I bought prescription inserts for the Air 2s this would still be an issue. I’d MUCH rather have the Xreal Airs but I’m gonna have to return them and see if I can tolerate the Rokids for an extended period of time. This is so incredibly disappointing because they’re perfect outside of those two issues but they’re two major dealbreakers for me.

Not perfect, but still great
NOTE: This review is for the glasses by themselves. Pros: - Bright, crisp clear display - Very light and comfortable to wear. - Plug and play with my phone and laptop. Cons: - Completely wired, no wireless streaming. - Display size is not adjustable. I bought these as a way to consume media while traveling or relaxing, and they deliver. Not as good as my PC monitors, but if I'm lying in bed or not at home, they're leagues better than squinting at my phone. The audio sounds kind of tinny when using the speakers on the arms, but I'm usually wearing earbuds or headphones when I'm consuming media on my phone so that's not a show stopper for me. The lack of a wireless option is kind of a bummer, but no battery makes them very light. The only thing that knocked a star off is that the apps you're supposed to use with these to get the most out of them are either non-existent (Windows), or glitchy (Android, macOS). But as a portable "monitor" for my phone, they're worth the money I paid.

Great for reading or watching videos, also for playing video games or laptop work
I use them maybe 8-12 hrs a day, in order to not disturb family with my activities.

Good product, but...
I have the first version of these glasses. The XREAL ones. They are pretty good and the screen is big, colorful and about 120" at 10 feet. I bought the second version, the XREAL because they advertise it as 300 inch. (Well... sometimes it says 120 inches, other times, 300 Inches in their ads; pretty confusing.) The fact is: it's pretty much the same as my first version (Nreal). About the sound, it's definitely better, but not by much. So, if you already have the first version, don't buy these. Wait for the 3rd version that will be out pretty soon if you can afford them. (And they should finally be real AR glasses) For those who don't have any, these ones are a good choice. But if you are on a low budget, I suggest you buy the first version (Nreal). They are quite the same, but at a better cost.😉

Quality not as expected
I expected the quality to be really good of what you see. Some reviews online even said its good enough for working and readin text but that is not the case. It can really only be used to watch videos and even then the software does not seem to be the best.
