The display is bright and clear and the display options should guarantee that the displayed text is to your liking. With the addition of an SD Memory card you can add personalised messages (in pictures format or video) and soundtracks to 5 memory locations: Alarm01 through to Alarm05. I converted a 'Spoonful of Sugar' from Youtube into an mp3 track and edited a minute cut to store in the 'alarm' memories. I also created a message to remind my mother-in-law to take her medicine. So at the set-time the music plays and the message is displayed for a minute after which it reverts back to the clock display. It would have been better had the clock been radio controlled otherwise, I think it makes a great general purpose clock with its additional capabilities making it very useful for helping those with failing memory. It also comes with a UK power supply and an EU one (which can be used in a UK socket if you open the 'gate' and push home) so in effect you have a spare power supply! We previously bought the 'Unforgettable 2-in-1 Calendar & Day Clock' however, this was cheaper and is a superior product.

[28/9/2023] This review is for the SINOIDEAS Clock, ABS, 8'' Display+2ui-Black, 8 inch Display. The display is exactly what I wanted. The description on Amazon says it automatically sets to the CORRECT time, date etc. (my capitols) and automatically sets time at power on (see attached screen shot). This would be perfect for my elderly mother in a care home, just set and forget. However...once I received the clock, the included manual says you have to set the time manually and DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE FOR DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME (DST). So it does not meet a key requirement of my purchase, i.e. auto-sets the *correct* time. Yes the clock does show a time at power up, but that is a continuation of whatever time was showing when the power went off....but that time would not necessarily be accurate, either because the time may have drifted somewhat, or because of a DST event. How well the clock keeps time I have no idea, I'm sending it straight back (currently trying to get that sorted). I'm disappointed. The clock display is ideal and if it followed a radio time sync then it would be perfect. But for £61 and no radio time sync, I'm not impressed, especially as it suggested it did have radio time sync. I'll update this review once I find out how the return gets on. 2/10/2023 UPDATE: Vendor said either post package to another address in the UK (more cost to me) or destroy the product and they'll refund me the purchase price upon submission of evidence. The latter seems terribly wasteful and I wasn't prepared to do that. In the end I've reluctantly decided to keep the product and my wife will use it somewhere. It's cost me more than it should have for this product, there are similar products much cheaper...I paid the extra thinking I was getting something that turned out not to be...ho hum. You live and learn :0( 2/10/2023 FURTHER UPDATE: Having now set the clock up (which was straightforward) I've noticed that the display (great as it is) shows a comma after the number of the day, so instead of "2 October 2023" is shows "2, October 2023". Ok a minor point, but I specifically did NOT order a clock with a comma, as per the image shown for this product. So that's yet another incorrect issue with what I received. Now 1 star instead of two :0(

This is a very good product: it is very clear to read and the layout of the screen is easy to understand by an older person who may be confused. It is also quite discreet and no one needs to feel embarrassed about having it on display. It is very easy to set up: it was already programmed with the correct day, date and time. I haven't used the reminder functions so I cannot comment on these. I bought this clock for my mother and she is delighted with it. I fully recommend this clock for anyone experiencing confusion or memory loss.

Bought this clock for my elderly mum who was getting confused over times and dates. The product is exactly as describe and works a treat - she is now in hospital and I have taken it in there for her and many people have commented on it. When moving rooms I knocked it off the window sill and broke the support arm - I contacted the seller through amazon and within the hour they had responded to me offering to replace the support free of charge within 24 hours the new item is on its way - I cannot fault either the product or the after sales care would DEFINATELY purchase from this supplier again and would not hesitate to recommend.

I bought this for my mother who has memory problems in particular what day or time it is. I have placed the clock directly in her eye line and it saves an awful lot of repeated questions as well as improving mum's confidence. Unfortunately the first clock I ordered went off after only 3 days which I believe was a fault with the mains lead. I was instructed to return the whole item and re-order and so far the second clock has performed perfectly.

Software issue causing clock to display in reverse. Other reviews mentioning this are there for a reason. Avoid for sure.

We got the black one. It looks smart and has made it much easier for my gran to know the time. She was falling asleep and waking up, thinking it was the next day and getting her medication confused. Needs to be plugged in to be on, so if you have someone who likes to turn off plugs be careful with that. Allows you to make 4 medication alarms a day as well as your own custom alarms. Easy enough to use.

Ho comprato questo orologio per mia madre che ha problemi di Alzheimer. Il display è grande una decina di pollici. Le lettere e i numeri sono grandi e ben illuminati perfettamente leggibili sia di giorno che la sera. Sul display viene indicato il giorno, la data e l'anno oltre l'ora, il tutto in modo molto chiaro. E possibile sistemarlo su un tavolo o appenderlo ad una parete. E' possibile impostare delle sveglie (per ricordarsi di prendere delle medicine, per esempio) impostando anche il motivo (il perché) della sveglia. Unico difetto: non è dotato di batteria quindi deve rimanere sempre collegato ad una presa di corrente tramite il suo cavo.

It is exactly what I expected to use for my elderly mother, it is easy to use and to set up, it's very clear and easy to read even from a distance and the configuration won't erase after small power outages.

Article conforme mais malheureusement inadapté pour une personne agée. Faire les réglages est absolument impossible. Je signale également que le produit bien que arrivé en parfait état, a voyagé uniquement dans le coffret d'emballage normal, c'est à dire avec l'indication du produit et les photos aux vues de tout le monde, mon adresse et celle de l'expediteur directement collées sur la boite. Il me semble qu'une protection supplémentaire et non reperable serait nettement plus adéquat. Cordialement
