Good product
It does what it's supposed to do. The display is neat too. Very useful. And it's pure sine — works great for running my fan and my PC, and my laptop all at once, off of a car battery

Working Flawlessly
I have had this inverter connected to the solar power system in my off-grid cabin for over a year now. It has functioned flawlessly. It has recovered seamlessly from the few occasions where I have connected a load that exceeds its 500 W capacity, like not checking the current draw of my circular saw before plugging it and trying to use it. The first short cut worked with the inverter sounding a loud beep, using the inverter's 1000 Watt surge capacity. A second longer cut caused the inverter to shut down, but it immediately reset by flipping the power switch off and on. Exactly what one would hope for. When I am running four LED light fixtures, the fan rarely comes on. At higher loads the fan does come on and it isn't exactly quiet, but when I am using that much power I don't need silence.

Cheap and it worked.. can't complain
I wanted something cheap.. I used it outside inside in a solar generator enclosure to power a car radiator fan vent.... Worked really well no issues.. was surprised... Don't use supplied power cables that come with any inverter... Figure out what size you need and buy or make your own... They're always too small and where people have problems..

Great inverter, actually pure sine wave.
This inverter is a great value, it's actually pure size wave! It puts out 120v 60hz power, at idle with no load it uses .37 amps. I put a 400 watt load (inductive heater) connected to a fully charged group 31 AGM, the display showed 400 watts being pulled but doing the math it was pulling approximately 475 watts from the battery (that makes sense with the conversion efficiency loss). I will say the voltage display on the unit itself is always 0.2v off from actual under load. Overall the unit stayed quiet under light use (putting 400 watts on it did cause the fans to kick on continuously). I can't complain for the price, personally I will be making some thicker gauge battery leads for it since the ones it came with seem a bit thin for the 50-60 amps this inverter could theoretically pull which might be causing a voltage drop. (I took it camping for 3 days and it did great power my laptop/portable fridge and phone, even at around 100 watts of load I couldn't hear the fan and the unit itself stayed cool to the touch) (Packaging includes the inverter, alligator wires, and 12v power socket (limited to 120 watts in this form)

Powers my Starlink standard dish and router like a champ!
Have our Starlink roof mounted on the RV and use the inverter to power the router when were in roaming mode on the highway. Just plug the cigar lighter adapter into the RV house batteries and plug the Starlink 120v plug into the inverter. The 400 watt capacity is plenty due to the router only pulling an average of 40 watts. Let's us have Wifi on the road. When you get to your campground, put the RV on shore power and plug the router into the RV 120v plug in. We ran like this for 5 weeks and 4,500 miles of traveling with excellent Wifi and no issues.

First decent smaller true sine intverter I have found!
I’ve been looking for an efficient, quality inverter for low loads. After several false starts I finally found it, I have some popular “brand R” true sine inverters, and while I mostly love them they don’t have a model smaller than 700W and they just don’t perform well at lower loads and so I was in the market for a 300-400w inverter with good specs. Pros • The most efficient and lowest standby/quiescent/no load inverter I could fine. • 2 outlets with USB and PD outputs. • Built in LCD monitor. • Fan is temperature controlled and only cones on when it is needed. Cons • Not the most attractive housing compared to others. • Larger in size than some competition (but about 2/3rds the size of respected brand “R”’s 700W unit) • Meter not accurate at light loads. • Efficiency at medium loads only o.k. • Battery screws are the “smaller” size and not the larger current size popular. • Battery terminals were challenging to lock down hard, lacked lock washer and took wrench while other brands worked with fingers. The Fit4Less inverter was my 4th attempt to find one to meet my specs. It does. The no load current was about 210mA or 2.75W, fully ¼ that of the most popular 400W brand amazon that starts with a “B” and 1/3rd the power of brand “R”’s 700W unit. At 120W load it took 147.24 or 82% efficiency. While this doesn’t sound great it is close to others. The other brands I measured were 86% and 89% at the same load. Alas I had a 120W load and a 600W load so was unable to test closer to the 400W rating. Since I am mostly using this inverter at <100W loads the excellent standby power was a bigger deal to me than the 4% loaded difference of similar sized units. The built in meter was about 10W high with a 15W load but within 0.5W at 120W. Overall I’m very pleased but do wish I could find something slightly nicer, even if it was 2x the price.

They provided 12 volts plug and wire does not work. You will need to purchase your own separately
Unit shipped with 12 volt port plug-in which does not have the ability to connect to the unit. See picture. Unit does not have any ports on it, connects with ring terminals only. The 12 volt plug and wire provided is not usable.

Packaging or lack thereof is the worst I've every seen.
I bought the 500w and from the label it appears they use the same box for all their units up to the 800w. The inside cushioning is for the 800w so this smaller 500w is basically loose flopping around in the box. I wouldn't be surprised if many don't work out of the box . Very disappointed. There is a smell that irritated my lungs a bit, hopefully it goes away. I returned a different Chinese brand that also had poor packaging and smelled very strongly like a can of spray paint, this is due to a capacitor or a battery leaking. Hopefully this is not the early signs of that. The fan is very noisy, sounds like a blow dryer in low mode, it comes on around 100w of use on a warm day in my van and blowing that smell around, giving me a headache. It seems to go on full blast for 30 seconds, then stops ever few minutes or so which is annoying. Not variable speed based on temp. And it's blowing the fumes of whatever it is, it's toxic as my lungs are irritated by it and gives me a headache. Just the past couple of hours of this smell is really making me consider returning it if it doesn't get better in a few days. The two outlets should be orientated 90 degrees or flipped 180 because the way it is now you cannot plug in power adapters into as it needs to hang down but there is no room to do that when it is mounted on the wall or floor. I don't don't use the battery clips, I'd rather have a cable with bother terminal connectors on both ends. Pros: - I like the manual power switch - I like the display for the AC and DC voltage, and wattage being used, also the LCD lighting is always on a little too bright imo. Should have a timer to turn off or something. - I like the fused being on the outside and accessible as some are inside. - I like that is came with a cig adapter
