My faucet would leak every time the spout was turned. It was also hard to turn. Replaced with this kit and all was well. No leaking and no extra trips to the hardware store. I did grease the O rings before installing.

Stopped my leak so I'm happy but not much you can do with a cheap faucet. Takes a weight lifter to move the spout from side to side. But then I drift. Would be nice if it came with instructions; I still had mine from installation so I was good but could be a bitr of a problem w/o an "exploded view" picture. Been a remodeling contractor of 40 years.

What is there to say. The item is a replacement maintenance part and fits and does the job. Order the right part, you get the right part and at the right price. Keep note of the location and aspect of the old rings as you take them out. Makes reassembly easier. Draw yourself a sketch if your memory is like mine.

The seal kit is easy to install, and it seals well - - for now. But the seal that had worked well for almost seven years had clearly been lubricated with a black graphite (I suppose) grease. The seal kit does not include a lubricant, and now the spout is "stiff" to swing from one side of the sink to the other, and I wonder how long the new seal will last if it doesn't move smoothly. Fit perfectly for our kitchen faucet. No leaks now. Decided to change out all the parts since we would not decide what was causing the leak. A whole lot cheaper than replacing the faucet.

If you have a little water dripping out of the center or lower base of your faucet, get this repair kit. It will cure your problem. Note: You need a "alan wrench" to remove the faucet's handle, then a flat head screw driver to remove the faucet's cartridge, and MOST IMPORTANTLY remember the way or direction you remove the plastic "O" ring on the bottom! Bottom line ... you don't have to be a plumber to do this repair ... I'm not, I repaired TV's?

I'm not sure if it's me or the seals, but I've had this faucet for 4 years and I've had to replace these seals about once a year. American Standard sends me repacements for free when I call them, but once these leak I can't use the faucet, so I buy a set for when they leak and then call the manufacturer for replacements. It's a pain, but I can't be without a kitchen faucet for 2-3 weeks.

Wish supplier would offer valve and seals as a kit to order together
