While Ruroken is set against the backdrop of the Meiji Restoration and the rapid modernization of Japan, you do not need the knowledge on the history of the period. I do not know much about the Meiji restoration but reading Ruroken has been fun. A dystopian nightmare, which is a fight between Kenshin and Shishio, is yet to materialize, there are good fights worth reading depicted in this 13-15 (3-in-1) edition.

The glue that binds the cover and the pages was really dry and not sticky enough. On top of that the glue use for this print I got was almost nowhere to be found . Opened the book just to see if it was alright and the cover fell off.
