Great Bang for your Buck for comfy Cot
Item arrived quickly and was easy to set-up. Instructions okay, but watched a youtube video for hints and how to best tension the legs. Have not used in field yet, but cot held my 230 lb, 6' 4" (193 cm) frame well. My head and feet are just at the ends of the cot. Sideways sleeping was fine directly on the cot (without a sleeping pad or bag). Easy to disassemble and stores well in the provided stuff sack. After being on it for about 20 minutes in various positions, didn't notice and significant stretching or sag. I expect some over time with use. This might not be the strongest or lightest weight cot, but for car camping or bike camping it packs small and travels well. I wouldn't take it backpacking, as space and weight are a premium. This appears to be a real gem re: value versus cost. Time will tell regarding quality. -----------------UPDATE-------------------- Tried in the field and works well. No permanent sagging or stretch for my 230 lb body. My only complaint is that my inflatable foam mattress easily slid around on the cot with tossing and turning. Often woke up with the mattress half-off the cot. I am sure I could come up with a set-up to reduce this.

Easy way, for toughest assembly step. Cot comfortable & robust. Unique "flying arch" reinforcement
I found this very simple and easy to assemble. The only step that seems to have challenged some buyers is fixing the second leg to the cot's poles. It does require a bit of force. I found an easy way. Place the cot so that one side and its inserted rod is along the floor. Hold the cot up, and while standing up, use your eyes to guide the first leg to where it connects to the lower rod. Then simply lightly push down. The curved plastic will lightly snap into the bottom rod instantly. Then, to make the most challenging action easy, use your body weight to push the top of the other foot down. The aluminum "spreader rod" will bend a bit. Aim the little curved attachment area towards the upper rod. This gives you the 2-3 inches "give" necessary to fit the curved plastic to the upper rod. The rod and plastic foot are very solid. They won't break. I'd guess I needed to apply perhaps 20-25 pounds of pressure downward, but it wasn't strenuous at all, because I was using my body weight. Comfort: I haven't slept on the cot yet, but I lay on it in various positions. I found it comfortable in every position, mainly on my side and back. The fabric gives a little, which makes the cot conform somewhat to one's body. But the fabric also feels very strong. (Note I'm 5'11" and about 190lbs at the moment.) For sleeping all night, I'll likely use a pad of some sort, which includes a cut down "mattress topper" 2" memory foam layer. The cot seems stable to me, but I approached it with smooth motions. The build quality is robust. Especially, I like that there is a well designed "flying arch" to provide stiffness and durability for the plastic part between the legs, and the attachment to the cot's aluminum rods. (It's noticeable on the product photos.) Most other cots of the Marchway-type geometry lack the feature, and I'd guess that could make them less stable and durable. The fabric of the cot seems like a tight and durable weave, and the sewing is immaculate. What I haven't covered in this review are impressions after long-term use, or sleeping on it many many nights. Thankfully, other reviews cover this well.

Excellent sleep, quality materials, superior compact size and durability, but LOW!
These cots are beautiful (we got teal and the earthy green color) and compact. They set up very easily and are very sturdy and will last a long time from all I can see of the materials. My husband and I have both used them and have slept very well with an inflatable camping pad on top, bundled to the cot with bungee straps, then a sleeping bag on top. The bungees hold the air mattress on the cot to avoid slipping around while turning in the sleeping bag. The air mattress is needed because, even though the mattress has no hard bars going across, the tension is so firm I could feel it in my hips without the pad. With the pad, however, the sleep is perfect! The only reason I dropped a star is due to the height. It is very low to the ground. We are in our early sixties and, though we're fit, the ease of movement getting OUT of the cot is a little awkward. I suggest ensuring there is something nearby the cot to pull up on (plus, perhaps a padded mat beside the cot to protect the knees from the hard ground), otherwise one has to roll out onto the floor and get up from that position. If it was just a tad taller, it would be easier to get up and out of the cot. The length and width are perfect as is the compact size when stored in the drawstring bag, all easily fitting inside. The cots solve a lot of comfort issues when tent camping. These are great for keeping in a small home for overnight guests (but not seniors!). We will continue to enjoy our cots with padded floor mats and a sturdy table nearby to pull up on.

Perfect for car camping
BACKGROUND: I took a risk on a last minute camping trip and decided to upgrade my comfort level. I have some back issues and no longer want to sleep on the ground. But I also value a compact and lightweight. COMFORT: I am very impressed with the comfort level of this cot. This keeps you about 4-5 inches above the ground which makes a huge difference if there is moisture or rocks under the tent. It is well designed and assembled so that the bedding is firm but has a little give for comfort. It feels very secure and doesn't creak or make any noise as you move around in it. I used it with and without an extra sleeping pad and didn't really notice a difference. UTILITY: The design helps with a little extra storage so I found I could tuck some extra clothing or grab bags under the cot at night. The compact size when disassembled makes it very easy to keep packed in my go-to tote with all my other camping gear. The only recommendation I would make is to put some padding under the 8 feet so that they don't dig into the bottom of the tent material. I didn't see any damage after 4 nights, but I imaging over time, it could cause a tear. ASSEMBLY: I had no trouble assembling, but it does take a little leverage to bend the support legs into place. I had to help my friend with hers, because it can be a bit tricky. I ended up buying two of these, and will be using them on all future car/camps. Not sure I would take the extra weight on a back-country back-packing trip, but it probably would be worth it.

Solid buy
I only purchased this cot yesterday, so I haven’t tried it overnight yet, but I’m already impressed. I set it up right away to make sure all parts were included and functional. I had read the reviews before buying and noted the very helpful tip to rest the cot on its side when attaching the crossbars. Once you have the two long poles in place on both sides, lay the cot on the ground lengthwise. Then, place the crossbar on the pole against the floor and apply a downward force, pushing it against the floor to create enough elastic deformation in the crossbar (don’t worry, you won’t break it) so it can attach to the top side. This actually required very little effort and is probably the safer way to assemble it because you don’t have to worry about the crossbar flying across the room. Without even looking at the instructions, I had the cot unboxed and fully assembled in under six minutes, all while sitting on the couch. It was very comfortable to lie on for the few minutes I tested it and felt much wider and roomier than I expected. I purchased this for a family member to use instead of a rollaway bed for an upcoming hotel stay, and also for use on the lawn at our beach rental. I also anticipate it being used at home for cousins and other visitors sleeping over in the future. This packs up very small, easily fits back in its storage bag. This will be packed in my under seat carry on.

Weaklings, you can do it, but you will need to practice before the big day
I purchased this cot after reading many reviews about it. Thankfully somebody had said that there was a “learning curve” to it and that kept going through my mind as I was putting it together. I was stumped immediately because I could not figure out how to get the poles in the sleeves. They went through all of the holes but I couldn’t get them to go into the end pockets on one side. I was convinced they had stitched up the ends on mine. Fortunately some young man had posted a video which I had watched before I purchased it so I knew that it was easy (or at least appeared easy) to put together. I went back and watched it in very slow segments and I saw that there is a little tiny opening on one end. So I went back to look at my cot and sure enough the TINY openings that you slide the poles through are on the end that have loops. They are the kind of loops that you would use to stake down a tent-so when you are putting your poles through the slots, first look for those loops and start there- save yourself a lot of time and frustration. Now for the support pieces. I am almost 60. I recently had hand surgery on both of my hands, so I have no strength in my hands. I struggle to light a lighter for a campfire. This is how weak my hands are-so when I got started putting the support pieces onto the cot, I was like another reviewer who basically said forget it -it’s not worth it. It’s too much trouble. But then I kept remembering somebody said that there was a learning curve to it. And someone else said their pieces were different. So I decided to try a different support piece than the one I had been working with. Oddly, that one went on easier. Also, I studied the picture in the instructions and I stood on the opposite side of the bars, just like the person in the picture. Another tip: start with the center support piece. After that you can go in either direction. BE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT PINCH YOUR HANDS. After you get the center one done then the other pieces go on easier- not super easy-but easier. Once it’s put together, another reviewer who was about my age, suggested to get down on your knees and kind of just roll over to get on it. I suggest that too because you are really low to the ground. You’re so low to the ground that I noticed the grandkids’ toys under my couch. Anyhow I wasn’t so low to the ground that I was scraping the ground when I laid on it. There was still space between me and the floor. I didn’t think it was uncomfortable. It seemed to hold me pretty good. I weigh 180 (unless I’m at the DMV) and I am 5’3”. There was plenty of space for me to turn over, and I tried bouncing around on it to be “kind of rough” to see if it would collapse on me because several people had said it had collapsed, and it seemed to do fine, but I wasn’t on an unlevel gravel surface. I was on basement carpet. There are two pockets up near head of it. My Kindle Paperwhite and glasses fit perfectly in one pocket and my iPhone fit fine in the other pocket. I posted a pic so you can see. I laid down on it several times last night, leaving it stretched out for the night. This morning I tried taking it apart; it came apart very easily. Then I tried putting it back together and it went together much easier. I think because I had let it stretch out it was easier to assemble. There was still some difficulty due to the strength of my hands, but it wasn’t nearly as difficult as it was the first time I put it together. Before I took it apart, I took a gold sharpie and I labeled which support pieces go where. I put the center as C3 because it was the center and the third one in line; H1 for the head and the first one in position; and then 2 and so on. Hopefully, that’ll make it easier for me when I camp and put it together. I am planning on going camping next week. If this thing collapses on me, I will come back and I will update this review and I will let you know ALL about it. I will be royally ticked because I actually have a really nice cot. I just bought this one because it is lightweight and compact and my cot is very cumbersome. But as of right now I think this one is going to be OK.

Absolutely essential, I got amazing sleep.
After trying to sleep on a foam mat, I really wasn't enjoying the idea of camping because sleeping was just miserable. I set this cot up in my room as soon as I got it, and super fast (4-5 minutes and that was my first time doing it), crawled into my sleeping bag and immediately started dozing off late in the afternoon. I got an extremely good nap, I'm 5'2 so granted I had a lot of room, I could sleep on my side very comfortably and every other sleeping position. This thing is awesome! My only complaint is the carrying bag although sturdy, is JUST big enough to fit everything inside. I might purchase a different bag for it so that I'm not struggling to adjust everything to fit, good news is it packs down to an extremely SMALL form factor!

Survived a windstorm!
So last summer my partner and I were invited to go to a remote island on one of Canada’s largest lakes (Great Slave Lake). And when I say isolated, I mean isolated. The boat ride alone took over four hours one way. I’m a glamper. I like the creature comforts of home. I also am a pillow princess and knew I’d need to have a comfy bed in lieu of sleeping with only two pillows (I usually sleep with ten). I decided to order this cot after tons of research between different brands. I’m glad I did. It set up super easy and was light yet sturdy. Now it’s nothing compared to a high end mattress if you’re used to that, but it got the job done. And when I woke up in the middle of the night being swallowed by our tent during a violent windstorm, the cot was the only things still intact. Our entire site nearly flattened, my sanity on the brink for hours inside a flattened tent enduring the storm, and out of everything else the cot faired the best. If I ever go to Burning Man, this is what I’m bringing!

Scout camp was a success
My old body handled this. I was contemplating an air mat on top. I might still try a soft foam one, but this worked well for the two nights at camp. Granted, I was completely knackered the second night
