Works great!
Easy to use and works exactly as expected. Not strong, but didn’t expect it to be. Compass moves easily and is the best ball compass I’ve used. Thermometer seems to work fine as well, and matched other thermometers for accuracy. Product handles submersion in fresh water just fine. I personally wouldn’t use it for map reading, and it isn’t super intuitive unless you tell the user how it works. Bought several as gifts, all work equally well. It now lives on my bag.

Good for what it is, not weight bearing.
not weight bearing, it clips and stays in place, but don't expect to pull anything with it.

Inaccurate, Tiny, Cheap
Compass seems to work okay, although it's not immediately clear how to read it, which requires you to ignore the larger, external letters and focus on the smaller internal ones. The thermometer is wildly inaccurate. It is currently reporting a temperature of approximately 90 degrees Fahrenheit in my 70 degree apartment on a 66 degree day. I purchased to replace a carabiner I use to hold my keys; the one I have is climbing-grade and works very well, hooking into one of my belt loops easily. This construct, on the other hand, mounts the ball compass on the same side that the latch opens, meaning you can't actually fit anything more than a few millimeters wide into the opening. As such, I cannot get it onto my belt loop. I had a pretty low expectations, and yet I am still thoroughly disappointed.

Nice Compass But.....
I bought two of these and as nice as it looks and works I am worried that the ball compass will be knocked, pulled or yanked out if something hits it. When examining the carabiner touching the ball compass too hard made it move as if it would come lose if hit hard enough. Yes I realized anything can break but felt that the compass was better secured then it actually is. Having said that I have had this device for some time without incident.

Works accurately and I carry it in my car
This is really a unique item and I love mine. I don't carry it in my purse because I don't want it to get messed up but I found that I use it quite often and keep it in my car because I do not have a compass there.

Check that it reads true when you get it.
I'm glad to have it and it's better than nothing. I've found that it's been reading around 45° off from what my phone or GPS are showing me (which have tracked with maps as well). –(Notice that there are different ways of reading it -overhead and from the side). So, knowing what to adjust for, it's still helpful, I would prefer it reads true from the beginning of course. Temperature readings I haven't verified as much, but I've just been using it as general reference.

Perfect and best deal for the price!
Perfect for what I need. The thermometer is a few degrees off, but for the price it's fine. If this company decided to make this models frame out of load bearing materials I'd gladly pay double or more for this. Very handy for me and my lifestyle. :)
