When it finally arrived near Whitby Harbour, it was derelict. There was no trace of the crew.Its been a while since we've seen a decent vampire movie, especially when it comes to Dracula! The last voyage of the Demeter (2023) is a great horror movie that's original and has new ideas for a fun story for the character Dracula. The isolated setting on a ship is a good scary set up, much like an Alien movie but at sea instead of space! Everyone trapped and being picked off one by one, the movie has a decent cast and Dracula himself is a scary looking devil like monster. All the effects in the movie are a good decent looking budget, a mix of good CG and practical blood and gore! well worth checking out, one of the best horror movies of 2023 and certainly one of the coolest Dracula stories in a long while.Blu-ray (US import) has a decent HD picture quality. In 1897 a cargo ship carrying mysterious boxes from Bulgaria to London and has something else on board that's killing the crew one by one. Never released in the UK due to legal rights issues this is an American import meaning you have to have a multi region bluray player to watch it, this based on just one chapter from Bram Stoker's Dracula novel is a tense and gripping horror movie with good performances from Corey Hawkins and Liam Cunningham.

I enjoyed this movie very much. Good engaging characters and plot. The special effects worked well and added to the atmosphere. Be great to see a sequel, but I guess the movies takings at the box-office would not justify it.

Not often a good vampire movie comes out enjoyed this movie looks good on Blu-Ray would recommend if you like horror movies

Based on a chapter from the gothic novel 'Dracula'. The ultimately doomed ship The Demeter. Dracula takes a different form in this film and is pretty deadly. If your a fan of Dracula, you're going to love this film. Not really scary but it is atmospheric which is what I wanted. Beautifully filmed and appears to have had a sizable budget thrown at it but it didn't make it to the UK or other parts of the world which is a shame. I bought this from the United States via Amazon and even though it warns it's region 1, it actually played on my blu ray player here in the UK. Really happy and a good take on Dracula.

Excellent movie the best vampire movie i have seen

I had no idea what demeter was , it is well acted , sinister , but predictable tale !

There's a region B version available in Australia that forces you to watch trailers that you can't skip and has no extras. I thought the days of these second-rate local releases had gone but clearly not. For hardly more this USA version has a barrel load of extras, commentaries and above all, joy of joys, must be region free. It played in my region B locked player without any issues.

Respecto al producto recibido 1 día antes por la mañana , el empaquetado sin daños y la cinta intacta 10/10 .

Escribo esta reseña únicamente para aclarar (he visto dos comentarios que dicen que no va en la region B) que esta versión de "El último viaje del Demeter", de importación USA (BlueRay+DVD+Código digital), está libre de código por regiones, se reproduce perfectamente en la región B (como es en mi caso viviendo en España).
