Bought as a gift and the recipicant really enjoyed it. Packaging striking. One of my favourite tea companies. If you over brew this tea is never bitter - can apply more hot water and still tastes great.

Der Tee ist sehr aromatisch und intensiv. Die Mischung aus schwarzem Tee, Kakaoschalen und Bergamotte ist sehr speziell und lecker. Die Dose finde ich sehr ansprechend. Der Tee hat nur in der Dose lagernd, den ganzen Raum mit seinen ansprechenden Duft erfüllt. Auch wenn der Preis natürlich ziemlich hoch ist, bereue ich den Kauf nicht.

Chocolate Earl Grey from TWG is a chocolate variant of Earl Grey that from the canister has definite notes of cacao in its aroma, but there seemed to be some other familiarity with the aroma that I truly can’t place it. It wasn’t until later that I realized that its fragrance actually reminded me of tootsie rolls. My first sips found me pausing to savor the interesting combination of the bergamot with the chocolate. The bergamot appears at the finish and gives a lift to this blend wherein the chocolate notes are notable at first and then finished off with a rich smooth citrus note from the bergamot. It’s not a bad combination at all, but does take several sips to get used to. Overall I quite enjoy it. This is a smooth blend but does have some mild astringency that shows with the mouth feel. I did try this with a splash of vanilla infused cream and it held up well. Overall it wasn’t a favorite of the earl grey variations I have tried, but it is one that I would have now and then for a change.

I liked how the tea smelled and looked in the tin. Good loose tea 'feels' great to use rather than bags. Well worth a try..

Ich liebe Earl Grey und ich liebe Schokolade, darum war ich sehr neugierig auf diese Teemischung. Leider harmonieren die beiden Aromen überhaupt nicht. Nach dem zweiten Mal probieren hab' ich den Tee verschenkt.
