More than exceeds expectations for me.
I needed this lens for a bit of a diff reason than others; I'm a dance games player and needed to be able to get an angle that encompasses my movements plus the entire machine as I play. Up till recently, I was fine just recording everything on my phone, but when I upgraded to a newer model, I discovered that the camera on it does not zoom out past 0.6x which is very odd. Anyway, I got this lens for my Canon R50 and it is perfect. I got all I wanted and then some. So glad I decided to follow my gut and get this lens. A small investment that has already been worth it. It's also nice to have for wide angle shots etc. for capturing full landscapes. This will come in super useful for my upcoming Japan trip. I plan to play dance games while there but also to get lots of photos of other things.

Perfect extra wide angle lens!!
I bought the Canon R50 content creator kit and unfortunately the base lens it came with was too cropped on my face so my big ass head barely fit in the frame! This lens is exactly what I needed for my vlogging. I love it!!!

Amazing addition to my Canon
When I bought my Canon EOS-R50, I was ignorant about the cropped sensor details. I was thinking along the terms of my old 35mm cameras I used to have 30 or 40 years ago. So I assumed the 18-45 mm lens would be a really nice wide angle. But with the cropping, it's not. I couldn't even get a photo of my basement wall and the work I was doing downstairs in frame. I had to use my iPhone to zoom back out far enough to get a decent shot. This meant that my 18mm lens was the focal equivalent to about a 29mm lens on my old film 35mm camera. But this one, at 10mm, is like a 16mm lens would've been on my old 35mm film camera. And the difference between the kit lens that came with the camera and this one is amazing. Not only can I get the wider shots now that I want, but it's just a better lens overall. The results of this at 18mm and the kit lens shooting at 18mm is clear to the naked eye.Definitely worth the cost for my use.

Wide view
We added this to the lineup to take pictures of real estate. A great add if you need a wider view.

Brilliant extra-wide-angle lens
I like this lens very much; my wife and I do a lot of hiking, and oftentimes you need a very wide angle lens to capture a scene. Also, I like the fact that it's a light and compact lens.

very handy for indoor family shots and outdoor landscapes.
Using it on a Canon R10.The wide angle 10mm is very useful for landscapes and interior shots. Really good for shooting inside churches if you are steady handed and can keep it still for 1/2 sec. That is the only shortcoming to this lens... it's a little bit slow but then it's also small so that's something I knew going in. Indeed this seems to be a common issue with all the lenses that run in the R10 mirrorless and the like. But the bigger lenses are more expensive and... well... simply much bigger and heavier. When I decided to dump the DSLR for the R10 I understood the compromise.Overall a great little lens. Camera with this lens, an 18-45 and an 18-150, batteries, charger and passport all fit nicely in a small shoulder bag.Recommended.
