It's worth the money is you have a baby and need to heat bottles throughout the night. Don't have to hear that annoying whistle. I would suggest putting warm water in it to shorten the boiling time. I put cold water in it and timed how long it took to boil, I applied a photo of the timer. Over all it's a nice little kitchen appliance. Makes the kitchen look better. The red stripe has a little shimmer to it. Came packaged nicely so nothing would break. Comes with the kettle the pallet and cord attached, the cord is wrapped up with a bread tie, and in lots of cardboard to keep it secure. Amd also comes with instructions on how to hook it up and use it, it's pretty self explanatory. I'd reccomend this product if you're not trying to spend am arm and leg on an electric kettle. It's well worth the money in my opinion. Review: Heats water FAST! - Bought this to use with our AEROPress coffee maker. Heats up water super fast and has been ver dependable so far. We use it everyday and so far haven't been disappointed yet. As long as the power doesn't go out, we're golden! I like the blue light to let you know it's on, and then goes off when it reaches boiling temperature. The volume is about 1.7 liters, which is good for about 3-4 cups of coffee on a fill up. Would recommend to others looking for a good water pot.

5 ⭐️ Second time around
So I bought one of these kettles in July of ‘18 & a few weeks ago I (being super klutzy) dropped it & broke it. I was so sad- I really loved this kettle from the moment I saw it & it had surpassed all expectations until the day it slipped out of my hands on to my kitchen floor. So of course I had to get on Amazon IMMEDIATELY & purchase a replacement. I was so relieved to find that Amazon still carried it & I believe it’s the same price- although I still would have bought it even if it was a little more expensive because this is by far my favorite kettle ever. First of all, it’s adorable. I never really gave too much thought to how CUTE a kettle is before I saw this one. It’s slick black with slightly metallic looking red “racing stripes” & the water sight glass lights up pale blue while it’s on- it’s pretty cool. But more importantly, it works so well. I use it year round- in the winter to make tea, cocoa & ramen (or anything that requires boiled water) & in the summer to make fresh brewed iced tea. So she gets a lot of use. And it’s never ever done me wrong. Even after I dropped my first one- I went to order another one & because of the coronavirus pandemic shipping has been slower on non-essential items (although I feel that this is so essential) I was worried that I wouldn’t have a kettle for a month! So I tried to use my busted one- LO & BEHOLD! It actually still worked! The handle was broken on the bottom & the lid was completely non functional, but it still did the job! I swear, this thing is magical. I did receive my replacement in less time than was estimated (go, Amazon!) so I didn’t have to rely on my poor sweet ole broken one for too long, but I did save it just in case. The heating element plate is still in perfect condition- didn’t drop THAT- so I have a backup if necessary. I highly doubt I’ll need the old kettle as backup since I don’t foresee any issues with the new one in the future. I mean, I did have it- and constantly used it- for almost 2 years. These seem to be built to last. The only thing that I think may be an issue for some (not at all for me) is that the outside of the kettle does get warm when used. I imagine most, if not all, of the kettles at this price point do, and it’s boiling water, so that is reason enough to take care when using it & to keep it out of reach of pets & children. I was just trying to think of something that might be a drawback & that’s all I could think of. If you’re interested in this kettle, get it- you won’t be disappointed. Even better- you’ll be HAPPY WITH IT!😊

Awesome Initial Impressions.
I bought this for my dad since our old kettle died. This kettle exceeded my expectations. It boils water fast about 4-5 min for 1.7 L. As for noise it's not that loud (you just hear water boiling) and you won't be hearing it for long since it auto shuts when it reaches to boiling point. It does everything it was design to do. Love the design also. If you are looking for a kettle that's a good price (none of the fancy sorts for $50+) and boil water, tea, coffee, etc. then this is the way to go. I will update more later as time pass but so far I am loving it. Update! 7/2/2020 Had it for about 2 years and it still works as intended. :D

Reliable Kettle!
EDIT: Kettle still going strong after more than a year. I use it almost every day! I've had this kettle for 5 months now - still going strong! I use it almost every day (sometimes multiple times a day) to boil water. It boils water reasonably fast. It's not noisy when the water is heating. It turns off automatically when the water is finished boiling. A kettle that consistently boils water fast, all the time = happy person. It's also stylishly red and black with an opaque glowing blue part where you can see your water boil. Cool. Minus one star because the outer shell gets kind of hot. I once had a beautiful $60 dollar kettle that boiled water lightning fast and was never warm to the touch because the insulation was super good. But hey, that kettle was way more expensive for a minor improvement on a detail that doesn't really bother me. If you're looking for a kettle that does the job really well in the $20 dollar price range, then I'd say look no further. What MORE could I ask of my Odette Kettle???? It's exactly what I need to boil my water without breaking the bank.

Great Value in a No-Frills Kettle
I was looking for a simple, reliable electric kettle without any fancy features. I comparison shopped a dozen or so on Amazon and I'm convinced that I bought the right one. It looks great, the materials it's made of are durable, it's easy to clean, has a mesh spout filter, and boils 1.7 liters of water in just a few minutes. An internal blue LED shows you that it's heating, and the kettle is insulated to keep things warm for quite a while. No temperature control or display, just a solid value in a excellent water-boiler.
