Great gift!
Got this as a gift for my partner. The first portion of the puzzle was the most difficult and the most time was allocated to it. These are always lots of fun and end up being good decoration afterwards.

Caesar's Riches, a beautiful puzzle
CAESAR'S RICHES is a sturdy, beautifully designed and crafted, escape room in a box. I believe it is the 2nd puzzle box manufactured by INSCAPE PUZZLES after their other beautiful puzzle, PHARAOH'S SECRET. Their difficulty rating on this puzzle is 4.5 of 5, with an approximate "puzzling" time of 150~210 minutes (2½~3½ hours). I, being an average puzzler, took way more time. I absolutely enjoyed this puzzle box. I would recommend this puzzle box to anyone 14 years an older, that enjoys a good challenge. In addition to the puzzling fun, this would display nicely on a desk or coffee table. Though a wonderful gift in itself, as with most escape room puzzle boxes, it can be used as "gift wrapping" for small items such as money, jewelry and gift cards. It's value to puzzle ratio is great. If you enjoy these type puzzles, definitely go out and buy it. Happy Puzzling!!

Hard one - ideally so
Hard puzzle. I got it as a gift for a relative. He still hasn't solved it yet. I have seen him do some of these in as little as one hour or even a few hrs. Some took a wk. He's had it two weeks, and it's not solved yet. So, it must be difficult. Perfect! THAT is the speed we need.

Fantastic "escape room" puzzle box, great fun for anybody who enjoys "escape" room type puzzles.
This is a fun "escape room" type puzzle. But unlike escape rooms where you are trying to get out, here you are solving puzzles to try to get inside. This puzzle box is well made of wood and comes fully pre-assembled. It has puzzles to solve as well as clues to be found on all of its sides, the goal, get inside the box where your treasure awaits. The box is a bit of challenge to open, but I found working out the puzzles to fun and enjoyable. The box says it takes from 150 to 200 minutes for the average person to work out all the puzzles to get inside. I solved it in about half this time, but I am also very experienced with these kinds of puzzles. There is no luck involved, by pure reasoning alone, following the clues, you will succeed in opening the box. This also makes a great gift idea for the puzzle lovers in your life. You can go to the company's website to learn how to easily get inside so that you could put your own "treasure" inside, and then the instructions show you how to close it all up again, then give it to your puzzle loving friend or family member to solve to get their treasure out. This company has made several of these boxes now in varying degrees of difficulty, I have purchased all of them and have enjoyed each and every one. If you enjoy "escape room" type puzzles or know somebody who does these "inscape" puzzle boxes are absolutely fantastic

Difficult
Perfect gift. Great challenge on the harder side. We're new to this, so it was not easy.

Superb packaging - looks amazing! Puzzle is also fun so far.
I’ve bought puzzle boxes from IDventure, ESC WELT and now INSCAPE, this company. Out of all of them, INSCAPE has the very best packaging for their products. The wood puzzle is nestled in soft foam within a sturdy box, held closed by a magnet. It looks like a work of art and is fantastic presentation. After taking the puzzle out of the box, I was amazed by the quality of the puzzle. The design looks very interesting and I am sure I will have many fun hours spent trying to solve this. While this was a bit expensive (about $60) I thought I would purchase this and try it out. I’m glad I did, but I think this would be a more reasonable purchase at $45-$50… that’s the primary reason I’m rating 4 out of 5 stars. Excited to play with this!

I would not recommend this puzzle for my WORST ENEMY
🚨 DO NOT LOOK AT THE HINT PAGE 🚨 It gives you the FULL SOLUTION, not hints. Completely ruins the puzzle. I read the reviews and thought, “okay, maybe it’s a little clunky, I can deal with that.” No. Absolutely not. I was so wrong. 😡 I spent THREE HOURS on what should’ve been a 10-minute slide puzzle—not because it was hard, but because the pieces DO. NOT. MOVE. They jam constantly. Over and over and over again. This puzzle isn’t challenging—it’s like fighting a broken piece of wood! Let me be clear: I did NOT spend three hours because I couldn’t solve it. I spent three hours trying to force pieces to move that should have moved easily. That’s the actual “challenge” here—bad mechanics. And it gets worse. Parts of the puzzle are so poorly made that pieces were literally falling off. At one point I thought I found a tool… nope. Just another loose, defective piece. Then the grand finale. I solved the final puzzle correctly—I KNOW I did—and the mechanism STILL would not open. So now I’m sitting there for 45 minutes double-checking everything, thinking I messed up… only to find out OTHER PEOPLE had the same issue and had to PRY THE FINAL COMPARTMENT OPEN WITH A PEN. Are you kidding me??? That is not a puzzle. That is a design failure. I’ve done 50+ puzzle boxes, and I love difficult puzzles. This is NOT “expert level” because it’s clever—it’s “expert level” because nothing works the way it should. You’re not solving puzzles—you’re wrestling with bad craftsmanship. This box is design flaw after design flaw after design flaw. Between the constant jamming, parts falling off, mechanisms not triggering even when solved correctly, and a “hint” page that literally gives away the answers, this was one of the most frustrating puzzle experiences I’ve ever had. Save yourself the time, the stress, and honestly your sanity. This isn’t a hard puzzle—it’s a broken one.

Good
Good fun, but sometimes misleading or not clear clues. Very hard start 😅 Like it, would be 4,5 to me but cannot give half star. Recommended for puzzle game fans

Pas mal du tout !
Casse tête qui permet de vous tenir en haleine pendant au moins une heure ! La qualité de la fabrication est là, même s’il faut parfois forcer un peu pour effectuer certaines actions. Vaut son prix. Recommendé.

Good quality, not so much fun though!
I love puzzle boxes and own a vast majority of the ones available on the market today so you could say I am passionate about these things. Whilst the quality is good and the mechanics is solid I would say that unfortunately the designers at Inscape somewhat misses the point of what I believe many want to see in these puzzles. This one is graded as hard and has a rated solution time in the 2.5 - 3h range. Sadly, I would venture that at least 70-80% of that time is just fiddling with the first puzzle, which isn't hard, just complex and takes quite a while (not to mention to put it back in a nice configuration again). Some of the rest of the puzzles are more of trial and error as the clues are obscure. OBS! SPOILER BEYOND THIS POINT! For instance one of the puzzles has to do with templates you have to align in specific ways on the box. There is no good clue or hint on how to align them to reach the desired result. It becomes even more of a trial and error when considering that you won't know if you've done it right until you combine all the letters you get (which, by the way, are really hard to read) to form four different words that are supposed to correlate to small images that also are extremely hard to understand what they are supposed to depict. In it self not super hard or impossible by any means, at least if you where given some indication that you are on the right track, but not so much puzzling rather than trying lots and lots of variations or just be lucky. Very hard to resolve by applying logical reasoning... With some better support system on the puzzle, better images, perhaps an arrow declaring the order, and more readable letters, it would be more fun. Now it just feels a bit tedious. SPOILER PART OVER All in all, an ok puzzle and probably great if you have the patience with quite fiddly and puzzles that aren't hard, just take a long time.
