New York Times bestselling author Andy Griffiths invites readers to come hang out with him and his friend Terry in their 65-Story Treehouseโthe fifth book in the illustrated middle-grade series filled with Andy and Terry's signature slapstick humor! Andy and Terry live in a 65-Story Treehouse. (It used to be 52 stories, but they keep expanding.) It has a pet-grooming salon, a birthday room where it's always your birthday (even when it's not), a room full of exploding eyeballs, a lollipop shop, a quicksand pit, an ant farm, and a time machine...which is going to be really, really useful now, since Terry messed up (again) and the treehouse just FAILED it's safety inspection. Join Andy and Terry on a whirlwind trip through time as they try to stop the treehouse from being demolished! Praise for the Treehouse series : "Anarchic absurdity at its best. . . . Denton's manic cartooning captures every twist and turn in hilarious detail." โ Publishers Weekly , starred review on The 13-Story Treehouse "Will appeal to fans of Jeff Kinney and Dav Pilkey . . . The wonderfully random slapstick humor is tailor-made for reluctant readers . . . A treat for all." โ Booklist on The 13-Story Treehouse "Middle-grade boys in particular will get a huge chortle out of this book, and there is enough going on to support classroom discussion about physics, chemistry and other physical sciences. The story is simplistic enough to appeal to reluctant readers, but amusing enough to hold better readers' interest." โ Children's Literature on The 52-Story Treehouse Read the whole series! 8 yr old daughter's favorite series!!!
My daughter loves this series. The author came to her school to talk with the kids. He is a HOOT and such a nice guy, he was so great with the kids and had them all cracking up. The books are creative and fun to read. These are the first books that my daughter just can't put down or get enough of. I love to hear her giggling to herself in her room when she reads these books. I highly recommend the series. As the author says, you don't have to read them in order which is great.

My 8 year old is hooked
We came across this series in an airport bookstore and my 8 year old has been hooked. Heโs actually reading on his own and asking to spend his own money on books. Huge win.

Fun and Keeps Them Reading
The boy loves this book and reads it again and again. He often relates other experiences to the book. For example, the topic of a time machine came up and he started telling me about Terry's experiences with time travel. The book is sort of half way in between a comic book and a story book, but with lots of words and paragraphs that make it a legitimate read for young readers that are picking up the habit.

Requested by my students!
I inadvertently purchased a softcover of this book, but in the school's library, I can't have that. So HAD to get the hardcover. My students LOVE the series and definitely appreciate the seller's promptness and friendliness.

These are great books for hesitant readers
My son has read the whole series and can't wait for the next one to come out. These are great books for hesitant readers. It takes some work to get my son (now 10) to sit down and read a book but these keep him entertained and give him a sense of accomplishment when he finishes.

Appeals to some
I can see why the madcap, busy presentation would appeal to some children and it does impart some knowledge. The audio book is better read than the authors had any right to hope but it's in the jumble box as it didn't suit us after the first read through, odd as we keep most books.
