ACDelco Gold 9746BB (88862396) Spark Plug Wire Set

I bought these for my 2004 Chevrolet Impala 3.8L engine, period. They were on the more affordable side compared to other options I looked at, and being ACDelco (OEM) gave me confidence going in. Delivery was a little later than expected, but everything arrived as described. I’m not a big automotive person, so I can’t give a deep technical comparison, but as a one-to-one match to the previous wires, these seemed to fit correctly with no issues during installation. After installing them, the problem I was having was resolved, and the car is running better. Overall, they did exactly what I needed them to do and worked well as a direct replacement.

Used on a 2004 Monte Carlo with a naturally aspirated 3800 Series II transverse V6 for a tuneup at about 135,000 miles. Due to the design of the engine in this car, you're going to want to remove the two "dogbone" mounts on the front of the engine and use a ratchet strap hooked to the rear anchor and the front crossmember to pull and hold the engine forward in order to reach the rear bank of cylinders. BE ABSOLUTELY SURE TO CHOCK THE WHEELS AND PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL FIRST. This will make the whole process MUCH easier. These wires are all the appropriate lengths but are NOT labeled with the cylinder/firing order they apply to. Just replace one line at a time and match the lengths. They are easy to install with those inconveniences out of the way. Does not come pre-greased with dielectric, but does include a handy squeeze packet of dielectric grease with a little bit more than you will probably need. If the factory wires are "stuck" or "seized" on the plugs, and you don't have a wire puller, you may need to plunge a knife into the old boots to break the vacuum/suction on the boot on the plug insulator. These wires have thus far performed admirably, and the engine is running strong.

You get what you pay for you have a GM you Get AC Delco For whatever you need these wires, I meant very sturdy fit perfectly very easy to do with the type of car. I had to put it in from Wheeler Drive pain in the ass what are you gonna do?

The spark plug wires are the exact same as the original ones. Great quality, easily installed. Mis fires gone!
