Best Hammock, ever. If you don't have one, you don't have a durable quality multi-use hammock. This hammock does it all. Beach blanket, shelter, tent fly, tarp, and hammock. Easy to set up, comes with everything you'll need (disclaimer some terrain you may need sturdier stakes) These carabiner's it comes with are solid, you will never buy a hammock with quality carabiners like this. The tree straps are also, solid. So is the rope and it comes with plenty that you'll need, and this puppy is ultra light weight. I do take it on every hike and camping and keep it in my Subaru. As for the extras, pretty sweet. Stories, ideas, games, and places to check out across the lower 48. I do wish there was a link to look into more than the places they provide to go visit. Lastly it comes with an item I have many of made by another company. Its basically a Buff, and Buff's are awesome! There are endless ways to wear a Buff. Now what they send is not a buff, but its just like it, and so that is how I will describe it. End of the day, I would most definitely purchase another of these by Lazy Monk, and your should too!

Our household switched to hammocks in May of 2020. I loved using hammocks so much that I sought out more. We graduated from net-type, holey thin hammocks to double wide rip-stop nylon and would never go back. Then we got LARGER double hammocks, these Lazy Monk ones, in July of 2020. And, now, we really won't go back. Two of us are 5'2" and fit comfortably sideways (as is recommended for sleeping). Our 5'5" household member has a bit of trouble and I wish I could find one just a bit wider by even as little as 5 inches. But, I have plans to buy more for back-up and for our go-kits. I do not want to be in any situation without having these hammocks on hand (and spares for anyone we may take with us or run into along the way). We all sleep better in the hammocks than we ever did in traditional mattresses. And, if the hammock were to rip, it costs less to buy a new hammock than a new mattress. If the bolt(s) need replacing, or any individual part of the installation breaks, we can replace them at a fraction of the cost of a new mattress. In the summer, they offer relief from the heat. Get them damp and rock back and forth. It will cool you down. In the winter, you may need an under quilt. But, creating a shelter with a second hammock tented above helps keep warmth inside as well. I'm grateful I decided to try these and cannot stress how much better these are than other "double" hammocks out there. Recently I had an opportunity to test a hammock that claimed to be a double hammock. It was over 20" thinner. I almost got whiplash every time my head fell out of the hammock. If it wasn't my head, it was my feet slipping out and jarring everything as my hammock felt the shock. ALWAYS check the size. When I bought these, they were 118" L X 78" W. IF they aren't this size, or bigger, you aren't getting the product I received and this review won't help you. We've used these daily, sometimes all day long (pandemic related reasons) and they've lasted 2 years and 1 month. We hand washed in the beginning, but then we started using a delicate cold cycle on the washing machine. Hang to dry. No issues, yet. I will update the review if anything changes that will affect its usefulness.

Super, super excited to use this great hammock! Finding a hammock proved so much easier than I thought, even though it was the first one I have ever ordered! I know it was pure chance, as I don’t know a lot about choosing the proper camping gear. However, I am super happy about my luck and about being the proud owner of a Lazy Monk hammock. I love this product for three simple reasons and I know that all of you will relate to them. First of all, it’s super easy to install. Anyone can do it! You can actually complete it in less than one minute. Secondly, the fabric is incredible! I mean it’s made from the same fabric as parachutes. How cool is that? Then, there is the little book that comes with the product which has some really interesting details there. You have three maps, which show you amazing camping locations, horror stories and even games! What else could you possibly wish for? Super, super impressed with my purchase! BUT, the most impressive thing happened AFTER my order. I said earlier that it’s so easy to install because they offer a great email with this video attached that provides step by step instruction for setting up your hammock in 1 minute, and it works!!!

I do love my hammock, but looking back I wish I would have bought the single person version. It’s hard to keep the sides from falling in your face when you are in it by yourself, but the pocket is a nice and convenient touch. The ropes are a little hard to work with, I wish they were straps instead.

I went on a summer solstice camping trip with my best friend. Neither of us had ever set up a hammock before, but luckily that wasn’t necessary because this was the easiest and fastest hammock to set up. We were hanging out in it within minutes while neighboring campsites struggled and fell to the ground attempting to set up whatever inferior hammock they had purchased. My best friend and I fell asleep in this hammock after a long moonlit walk through the woods. It was super comfy! Even better was when the bear came into our campsite to snack on spilled popcorn and marshmallows, so my bestie and I popped our heads out of the hammock like some two headed creature, scaring the bear back into the woods. We couldn’t have done THAT in a tent! Overall I’m super happy with this brand. The packability of this hammock made take down incredibly swift. So far, I’ve only used it three times, but it remains durable and comfy. This is the first hammock I’ve owned so I have nothing to compare it to, but I do know that I didn’t have to struggle to set this thing up and fall on my bottom like a lot of other campers I saw. Huge plus when I can look like a pro instead of my usual awkward self. XD

I have several hammocks around our property as well as in our camper for when we travel. I love these particular ones for traveling. They are very durable, easy to set up, and everything gets stuffed into the attached bag when done. The even come with little inflatable pillows. I also really like that it comes with the tree straps as it helps protect the trees and makes it super easy to set up!

This thing is amazing. 2 years and good as new, this lil guy has easily made it to top of my packing lists for hikes, camping trips, adventures whatever. From Dessert terrain in Zion to trees and sap in Montana, This thing is a tank and has held three of us at a time after being washed all the time. Worth. It.

For the price I wasnt expecting much to be honest but its really well made. I had me and my girl in it and it was sturdy and comfortable. The set up is super quick and easy and takes less than 1 minute. The tree straps are thich high quality nylon. They even threw in a facemask and a carabiner flashlight!
