Absolute best ever. Trying to purchase the 2.2 lb shoulder. The ham just melts in your mouth. I love it!

I searched specifically for Iberico Ham and this site looked like a quality choice. I received the item yesterday and it looks NOTHING like the photos represented. One of the pieces is at least 50% fat and the other piece showing not appreciably better. It is not returnable unfortunately but I would definitely not recommend buying this from Jamoprive. The only way I would ever entertain any product from them would be firsthand in a store.

I first tasted Iberico and Serrano hams in Spain and was immediately in love. While expensive (check pricing for a full ham!!!), it is worth the price for me. The quality is excellent, not fatty, and tastes great!

I've been wanting to try Iberico Ham since I saw it on a Anthony Bourdain episode, so my expectations were a little too inflated. There was a noticeable flavor difference from prosciutto and it was nutty and salty in a very good way. However I didn't notice enough of a flavor difference to justify the cost compared to a GOOD prosciutto like Boars Head.

I had heard so much about Iberico I wanted to try it. It has the richest flavor of any cured meat I’ve ever tasted. While I love prosciutto di Parma for special uses, Iberico fills the place of an everyday treat. Too bad it costs so much. My world-traveling son tells me it sells for $8 a pound in Madrid. Maybe if it becomes more popular here, the price will come down. So eat, eat, eat!
