This product was recommended to me to use for my mom’s liquids from both her Dr. and Speech Therapist while in the hospital back in January (she’s 94 and has a hiatal hernia that cannot be surgically removed). It’s easy to use and mixes well. She hasn’t complained about the taste (win) The bottle may be a bit pricey but it’s more economical. I would recommend.

This is a great product, though pricey. Purchased this for my father and he reports there isn't any taste. It dissolves very easily. I fill up a 4 cup measuring cup with water + thickener and keep it in the fridge for convenience. Just stir it up before you pour.

Originally we bought the individual packets, but this pump is SO much easier (and less expensive). You can control how thick you make the drink by the number of pumps. There is no need to buy two different viscosities.

Came the very same day I ordered it. Simply Thick is easy to mix to thicken my liquids. It is not chalky and it doesn't change the taste of my beverages and water. I can mix my drinks with Simply thick and it last up to 30 days. No waste.

My father had a stroke. The hospital recommended the simply think nectar packets in the hospital. In fact they had just switched over to simply thick. The speech therapists were excited because its easy to use. First I bought the pink packets because the rehab only had powdered thickener. Then I bought the yellow packets. I could get nectar thick with 8 ounces of liquid instead of four ounces and save a few bucks on the box. So i figured the packets are good when out. When my father returned home, I purchased the smaller pump. Went through the small pump so fast. I like to thicken a whole bottle or multiple one serving bottles. Thickening drinks one @ a time is a drag. Finally I bought the large pump. It’s fine. It works. Per ounce the large pump is the best deal. But I feel like simply thick is expensive for what it is. I’ll pay but complain every-time. Would feel a little more agreeable if i could subscribe & save. If I could make it myself I would, but who has that kind of time? As for the actual bottle & pump... The 1st two bottles i received were clear. The 3rd bottle was solid white. Hey simply thick, I HATE the white bottle. Even detergent bottles have a translucent stripe on the side so you can see how much you have left. Please rethink the white bottle. The pump is weird, it has like a rubber nipple. I’m not sure why. But if you don't wipe or rinse it after use it will get crusty and not pump appropriately. The pumps are measured, 1 pump for each 4 ounces for nectar thick. I wiped and rinsed the pump so many times the rubber tip came off. Now it pumps cleaner and is easier to clean. When you see the price of the alternative thickeners, simply thicks price is hard to take. But going back to the powdered thickener is hard to go back to. The end.

Expensive but the best to use if you have a patient or a family member that needs thickened liquids

My adult sister uses this daily with all liquids because she is at risk for aspiration. It mixes easy but thickens even more if you let it sit around for few couple hours or refrigerate it. Then we add a little liquid to get it back to the desired thickness or throw the drink out and make a new one. There is a very slight taste if you mix it with just water.

My husband suffers from dementia and is at a stage where he has all his drinks thickened and food cut small as peas. Your product works well.
