Are these preshrunk or will they shrink if machine washed and dried?

Mine shrank quite a bit, pretty typical for 100% cotton. I'm only 5'8" and I ordered an XL to be safe and I'm glad I did because they fit right at the top of my ankles after washing and drying (which is okay for pajamas but not pants). They're a really bright nice color when new but they are starting to fade pretty quickly and I don't wear them all that much (only on game mornings). KTBFFH.

Are these flannel or woven broadcloth?

These are a cotton blend. They also shrink with a couple of washes…
