Data-Driven, Deadly Accurate, and Weirdly Addictive
Slick design, and it tells you everything—weight, body fat, muscle mass, even heart rate and nerve activity. Links straight to your phone. Great for tracking fitness goals or, let’s be honest, feeling smug after leg day.

Quality did not match the price
This product worked well for 10 months but the connecting cable to the handle lost its spring rewinding mechanism. I expected better quality for the price.

Excellent Scales
Love this performer so many measurements and the app keeps track of your data and trends.

Seems good so far
So far, so good. My only gripe is that there are no rubber feet. So, if you have it on hard floors it slides about. We have it on carpet and it works accurately. No need for "carpet feet".

Not for me
I'd been hoping to use these scales to make a bit more sense of weight loss plateaus and how it relates to body fat/ muscle / water retention. However, the results of the scale are just all over the place going up and down with no pattern. If anything it's left me more confused than I was before. Here's some "results" after 14 days of using the scales (I don't believe them, and neither should you, but these are what I got): over the 14 days I've lost 4.4pounds of fat and gained 2.5pounds of muscle (for reference, a realistic amount of muscle to gain in 2 weeks is 0.5-1pounds, a realistic amount of fat to loose is 1-4 pounds. I'm in no way dieting or exercising in any extreme way). In one individual day I lost 4.3 pounds of body fat - and on that same day gained 2.7 pounds of muscle. On another day I gained almost a pound of body fat in my arms??? (this is not where my fat goes, believe me...). Oh and the muscle I gained? according to the app almost all in my torso - very peculiar since I keep not doing core exercises, and most of my training is focused towards legs with some occasional arm exercises. It's very consistently showing me as underhydrated. I drink anywhere between 2.5-4l of water in a day, pee very frequently and my urine is a very pale colour - so in other words, zero signs of dehydration. I've weighed consistently in the morning, at the same time, wearing the same clothes, after going to the loo. I don't drink alcohol or have caffeine but of course I do work out more on some days than others. I've also had some issues with the user interface - at some point it congratulated me for having lost 2 stone and 11 pounds on the program (no clue where it got that from - the difference between the two extremes in those two weeks was 3.9 pounds). Also some graphs got all clumped together and were unreadable. Another thing they don't really advertise is that to use all the features of the scale you need to wear some clothes (since if body parts eg legs are touching each other the readings are invalid), and you have to keep standing on them for well over 30 seconds (if you look at their explanations why results vary they say that if you move while the process is ongoing that may invalidate the results - but i challenge you to stand perfectly still while holding the weird arm thingy for 30 seconds. even just breathing will make you move ever so slightly). So now in order to try to get consistent results, I'm changing into a "weighing outfit" in the morning, standing on them for about 45 seconds, then changing back out of it. Now this would be worth it if the results were consistent, but they're simply not so it's just a huge waste of time. With the amount of time this takes, I could just get my £1 measuring tape and take all my body measurements at least every other day, which would be more consistent and probably give me a better idea of what's going on. On the upside - I had no issues with the Nerve Health measurement as others reported (finally an advantage of sweaty feet!). Overall a very expensive gadget that did not provide any value for me. I don't know if it just doesn't know how to deal with my (obese) body type and if it works better with more "normal" bodies, if I just got a dud, or if it really just is that bad.

Faulty after 3 weeks of use
Good product but the handle stopped retracting 3 weeks after we started using it which is disappointing. I am waiting for Amazon/Withings to reply and hope to receive a replacement.

Useless
Complete waste of money. The data swings around all over the place without accuracy. Body scan does not work, ECH does not work, weight can fluctuate from one weighin immediatly followed by another by up to a kilograme. To say I am not happy is an under stament!!

Is it worth so much money?
It promises much and has some good features. It weighs 4-5 kg so don’t plan to move it around. Set up was a bit clunky but it syncs independently of your phone. The offer of 3 months Withings+ sold with the scales is only available if you get through to customer service - they will they give you a link to get the 3 months of Withings+ sold with the unit. I had to laugh, after getting access to Withings+ (£90 / yr after the trial) I realised it offered almost no benefits I could see. The cardiologist review is only offered in a couple of countries and not available in UK. I expected more from a set of scales for £330+ (£420 if you include first year of Withings+). Decided to get a £20 set of scales and save myself £400!

Great scale but ECG set up not possible
Product is good, However, it’s delivered by Amazon us and set up for ECG is problematic as it’s for US locations only (still not able to use it even though I bought the scale for this particular feature).

Inaccurate waste of time especially for Body Composition - DO NOT BUY
Stay away from this scale. I am a long term customer of Withings (Body Comp Scale), having enjoyed it, including what their mobile app had to offer. I purchased the ‘Body Scan’ hoping to get more detailed insight on Body Composition but the results have proven to be inaccurate (consistently) and no where near results from my previous scale or professionally measured results with my Dietition. As an example, i would get 4 different fat percentages in 4 weigh-ins within 4 minutes. Withings support came back saying, to paraphrase: 1) Go read our comprehensive articles on why your result (greatly) varies 2) you are using it wrong (not standing/leaning/holding correctly) As an aspiring athletic using this daily, i refuse to be ‘weighed-down’ if the accuracy requires my focus and exact precision to use the device. I will be reverting to my Body Comp scale and go externally to get professional consults when i required more detailed segmental analysis.

Integration with Whoop and Apple Health makes it convenient
I switched from Hume to this and the weight and body composition metrics seem more accurate when comparing the two to other devices. Also it integrates with Whoop, not just Apple Health.

Solid scale but no integration with Apple Health
The scale is nice but does not write data into Apple Health, seems like a software bug (only toggles to read data from Health). I have contacted Withings and now I’m waiting for a solution from their technical team but without data in Health this is useless for me.
