Opill, Daily Birth Control Pills, Over-the-Counter Progestin-Only Oral Contraceptive, FDA-Approved & Estrogen-Free, 28 Count

I’ve been using Opill for over 6 months. It’s been great for me! Side effects the first month included nausea, headaches and sore breasts. By the second month I was not experiencing any negative side effects! Which is a huge plus for me, I’m extremely sensitive to BC and have always had horrible experiences with all others before trying Opill. I was really nervous about how well it would work to prevent pregnancy, I was taking a pregnancy test every month for awhile just to ease my mind & so far it’s been adequate protection, I make sure to take it at the same time every day and not miss any doses. Keep in mind the morning after pill(emergency contraceptives), antibiotics and certain medications can reduce your protection and prevent Opill from working. The pill itself is tiny and easy to take. The price is great especially compared to the cost of the BC my Dr. prescribed that would’ve cost me $400 per month. Paying $18 with no doctor appt expenses is a much more cost effective option. My periods haven’t changed much, I still have them regularly at the same time every month but they’re much lighter and only last 1-2 days. Prior to Opill I was having very heavy periods with heavy clotting and it’s been great to have such light periods now. It feels like it has helped with my PCOS and PMDD as I feel much more stable throughout the month and I don’t feel drastic spikes and crashes in my hormones like I did before. I’ve had no negative emotional symptoms, my mood has improved and been stable, no increase in depression or mood swings like I previously experienced with other BC pills. It has not negatively affected my libido, if anything it’s improved that too, especially knowing I’m protected. I highly recommend Opill, I’m very happy with it and I’m so glad I gave it a try. It’s been such a relief to find something that works well without causing havoc in my body and I no longer have to live with terrible symptoms just to be protected.

I have actively used this product for over 2 years now. Compared to other BC I have taken, I have personally noticed less side effects with Opill. I haven’t experienced any severe weight gain like previous products, less acne breakouts, and while my periods are not as severely heavy on Opill, it has managed the constant pain I’d experience and I do not have as much of heavy flow as I naturally have and has been a successful form of contraceptive. Highly recommend for anyone who needs access to affordable contraceptives without an RX. I feel more like myself when using Opill than previous BC!

I have been taking these consistently for over a year. I am so happy that I made the switch. After 15 years of bouncing from BC to BC and having adverse reactions to everything under the sun, these are truly the holy grail. No foul taste, no bloating/weight gain, no mood swings, no nausea or upset stomach, my cycle is "normal" and "regular" for the first time in my entire life, and no surprise 4th child (I am INCREDIBLY fertile and ended up getting pregnant and unfortunately miscarrying on Mirena). There are so many reasons that I recommend these and at $20 or less a month, you can't go wrong!

I was nervous to try Opill after reading varying reviews and never taking BC before, but my experience has been wonderful! I just finished my first 3 months and here’s what I’ve experienced: Pros - it works! - I’ve seen positive changes with my health (less PMDD symptoms and a significantly positive change in my endometriosis symptoms - Less cramping, bleeding, back pain, and a more normal cycle!) Cons - - Some mild side effects for me have been the occasional headache and some nausea. It’s gotten a lot better over time though, as they explain in the directions. I also gained 8 lbs in the week after starting, it was a little interesting but likely water weight and disappeared after another week or so! Overall, Opill has been a great experience for me with minimal issues - just wanted to share a positive experience as someone who was worried!

I really liked the packaging and how easy it is to follow the daily routine. The box is discreet and convenient to carry anywhere. So far, I’ve had a great experience and consider it a very practical and affordable option.

This stuff is a godsend! First of all it’s amazing that I can just buy it for myself. No annoying doctor’s appointments, no insurance needed, and no having to explain myself. I’m a full grown woman and having to explain to someone why I need birth control is just whackadoodle. It’s also very affordable! So far it’s been the best pill I’ve ever tried and I’ve been on a few. Everyone is different, but for me I’ve had no period for 3 months which is awesome, my premenstrual migraines are gone, and no weight gain. If anything I am LESS hungry and thank god for that cause I can be a piglet. I have been very precise about taking it on time and it has done its job at keeping me baby-free as well. I can’t guarantee that your results will be the same as mine, but it’s worth a try. It’s also a very empowering thing to support!

I guess I am one of the unlucky people that experienced many side effects of this medicine. I took this for one whole month(I ordered the 3 months pack) , I had severe headaches after week one (which I never get headaches) it also caused a cyst on my uterus to flare up, which caused severe abdominal pain the ENTIRE time. Swollen uncomfortable breast . It also caused me to bleed heavy for longer than a week (I’ve always had light periods that have only lasted for three days at most) I’m glad this BC works for most women and I hate to be that person….but for me it caused more problems than what I would like. I have switched back to cryselle BC. I think for the price it was worth the try. It is effective at reducing your chance of pregnancy but you have to take this at the exact same time every day or it is recommended that you use a condom for two days if you miss taking it at the exact same time. I asked for a refund and they were willing to refund me without even returning the rest of the two months of the birth control so I appreciate the refund. I will not be taking the other two months of the medication even though they said I don’t have to send it back because I was very uncomfortable the whole time. This is why I give it 3 stars instead of 2. Thank you
