It Does The Job, Just!
If like me you just want to put another TV in the kitchen but using the same aerial as your main lounge TV, this item has quite literally everything in the box to do it. However, the various plugs into sockets fitting is very slack, one touch and they would all fall apart. Having said that providing once fitted, you leave it alone, it all appears to work well. At just under £8 it is a very reasonable price.... if it works!

Very flimsy
Overall this is a poor product. The cable is very thin, resulting in poor contact within the plugs. The plugs have little screws that should ensure a good contact, but the manufacturing is so poor that they cannot be screwed deep enough to touch the cable (let alone press it to the side). I resolved the contact issue by bending the copper core, but results are sub-standard. In addition, the copper core is so thin that it breaks very easily; I broke it twice while tightening the plug, there is a difficult balance to reach between cutting the copper core long enough that it maximises the contact, but not too long that it gets pushed in when tightening. The splitter is a nasty piece of ... you get the idea. It is too loose for the provided plugs, which fall out simply due to the rigidity of the cable when moved about a little, and the contact is very poor unless you hold it and press it, on which case it become merely weak. It also rattles when shaken, and the male piece moves about. Bottom line: I bought this because my freeview box has 2 tuners, with 1 separate aerial input for each (so 2 separate aerial inputs, I cannot fathom any reason behind such a stupid idea, I'd much rather have paid an extra £1 for internal splitter). I wanted to separate my TV input to reach these 2 tuners. I think the signal in my area is strong enough, and so is the cabling to my living room. I was not able to achieve the desired result with this kit (and I did give it a very good go), and using any of the components to simply forward the signal to ONE tuner yielded much poorer results that the main aerial direct. Imagine when splitting it to (and using) the 2 tuners! I would strongly recommend not to purchase this product, and buy better quality individual components instead. Might end up spending £20 instead of £7, but compare that to the value and quality of the equipment that relies on the TV signal.
