what material is it made of?

Hi George. There are no labels on it to state what material it is, but I've researched it a bit online and I think that it's made from Polypropylene. If you google 'Wigofil', which seems to be a registered company that manufactures a lot of different products from Polypropylene, it appears to be a very robust material. I'm certainly happy with the quality of the battery jacket - you just lift your battery up, place it in the jacket, then drop it back into place and secure it. When I bought it the photos didn't appear to show the jacket having a bottom panel, but it has. Once fitted the jacket completely encloses the battery.

Do you just put this on overnight or leave it on all the time?

Just right for my needs.

I used it to house the 12 volt battery on the running board of my 1925 Motor Car, and it worked a treat. I don't intend to be going out in the rain, but if I do get caught in a shower, I understand that this case is 'water resistant'.
