Finding the time to learn a new language is a challenge for me. But I really wanted to learn French. So, I looked for something that can accommodate learners with tight schedules. Then, I stumbled upon this book. It was advertised for busy adults. That's what drew me in. When this book arrived, it took me a couple of weeks to finish it. I was THAT busy. And now, I just finished reading it, and let me tell you about my experience. Let's first talk about the content. Honestly, this book covers the basic essentials in learning French, including grammar rules, everyday words, and more. This book is really great for beginners. Each lesson are concise, I'm not sure if they are indeed 15 minutes, but it's easy and quick to read each one. The approach is engaging, it doesn't feel too "school-like". It's not boring at all. Moreover, there are also some exercises, worksheets, and flashcards that helped me practice my French writing skills. I must say, these exercises have been really effective in helping me study for long-term retention. One thing I loved about this book is it's completely practical. It doesn't waste time on unnecessary words and phrases, but just teaches you actual words that you can use for everyday use. As a beginner, I don't want to get down with the complicated stuff. I wanted to just enjoy and familiarize with the basics. Furthermore, I loved the cultural insights part of this book. I didn't expect that this book would also discuss the difference between European and South American French. Who knew it could be that different? I thought all French-speaking regions speaks the same level of French. Now, I know more. For that, I'm truly impressed. What sets this workbook apart from all its other competitors, is the exclusive additional content. Imagine, you just paid for a book. But, you get to receive an audiobook, ebooks, pronunciation audios, words and phrase list, and more? It's worth more than what you paid for! I'm not even done checking out all of them. However, there are some things that could be improved in this book. First of all, the content itself is excellent. But, a more in depth discussion about tricky grammar rules and concept could be more beneficial, especially for beginners like myself. I also can't help but notice some irregular formatting issues that makes some sections a bit distracting to read. I hope these things could be resolved next version. I'd still buy it again if they do.

So far so good! I like the explanations and the exercises are what I needed: practice and different vocabulary. It is the first time I try to learn a language on my own.

I had a work trip in a French-speaking region and I stayed there for about a week. I brought this book with me during my trip. And if you're curious about what happened, read on... Upon boarding the plane, I quickly whipped out this book and started reading. I figured out that even though it's just a one-week trip, I just want to try if I could at least speak conversational French. Just a few chapters in, and I was HOOKED. Let me tell you, the way this book delivers each lesson is such refreshing to read. It's not heavy at all! Each lesson is short, but very well explained. There are lots of easy vocabulary and everyday phrases that I can study. Plus, the grammar section is shockingly detailed. I love that it also includes a part on how to deal with tricky grammar rules. Most of my free time during this trip is spent reading this book. The flashcards and worksheets were really fun to do. However, I just wish there were short stories that I could also practice with, just to make everything entertaining. But, the provided self-evaluation tools are still really good! This is just a personal thing. So anyway, on my last few days, I actually tried to converse with my French colleague and he was impressed. I got a lot of compliments, thanks to this book. It actually boosted my ego. Now, I think I'll commit to this French learning journey. I'm excited to check out all the exclusive content!

I recently picked up this book because the description said it's for busy adults. I always wanted to learn French but never had the time to do it. So far, this book really lives up to its promise. The 15-minute lessons are great for a quick study even within my hectic schedules. Even though I'm busy, I try to read at least one lesson and maybe do some exercises a day. I find it good for stimulating the brain. The authors did an excellent job of making French more manageable to study. The content is easy to follow and each lesson is short, but packed with relevant information. What I really like about this book is it focuses on the practical stuff and it doesn't beat around the bush. The simple explanations about grammar rules and concepts are just what I need. Moreover, the tone of the overall book is engaging as well. It doesn't feel like I'm back to school. It's just like talking to a really smart friend. So anyway, I highly recommend this book. If you're a busy bee like me but still want to Learn French, this book is your best bet!

Great lessons

The emphasis is on grammar here. The layout within each chapter is helpful. The text is conversational and easy to follow with tips on how to remember French words and phrases. There’s a “Practice” quiz at the end of each section to let you know what you need to review.

This grammar workbook is great! Chapter 1 is on Pronouns and Chapter 2 is on Nouns and Articles. I have never been any good at either of these, but in this book it is clearly stated! I can understand these things! Hot Dog! It explains what they are and when to use them! And I like how they put in parenthesis's the pronunciation of the words. The book doesn't get too technical, they teach words I would use if I say - went to a party! It teaches numbers. It teaches words like Kitchen, Living Room, Chair. There is also a bonus section to scan to claim Flash Cards, Audio Pronunciations and several more. They ask questions and you can fill in the blanks and they have the answers in the back of the book if needed. Great workbook!

I am about a week in with learning with my new workbook and I already feel like I am building a strong foundation for fluency in French. The lessons are quick, detailed and easy enough to grasp for me so far and I love that there are so many practice worksheets to test my knowledge in each chapter. I can’t wait to make it through, I’m pretty confident I will be able to at least hold simple conversations once completing this book.

Again a good book if one wants to learn proper French so one can read.

I bought this book to expand my skills of understanding French as far as I am concerned and very important because I often go to France for work reasons. A very interesting book with only two weeks teaches you the important basics for learning French, with a lot of simplicity and really very easy and very interesting as an approach to improve my French which was very basic. It helped me so much to improve the pronunciation and grammar that is fundamental to learn a very fascinating language like French. I recommend buying a guide to learn French very fast !!
