IBP HL-868Z Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

I decided to start watching my BP so following the Which report on this product I bought it in December 2014. A good choice, easy to set up, easy to use, and the set of batteries you get to start with, lasts a good 3 months with daily usage. Also, when the batteries do need changing, afterwards I was pleasantly surprised to discover the stored data and averages hadn't disappeared the moment the batteries came out! As a fuss free way of measuring your BP I couldn't recommend it more highly, and its very good value for money!

Had an earlier version that was very consistent and easy to use but it gave up after ten years! Searched everywhere for replacement, all v expensive and wouldn't keep more than one set of records. Then found this one and it doea everything even better and it's half the price of many of the others. Good buy not just price but very effective instrument.

This does appear to give pretty accurate and constant results. The most difficult problem is puting the sleeve on and ensuring it stays in the designated position while attempting to secure the sleeve. Seemingly positioning correctly is important to accurate readings but the difficulty of the constant shifting of the sleeve as you tighten it can lead to a rise in your blood pressure!

This is an easy to use home blood pressure monitor, highly recommended by Which? in 2016. The display is clear with large lettering and symbols and, once you are familiar with the indicator arrow on the right hand side of the display, it clearly points to the WHO blood pressure classification for your reading. There is a useful warning indicator for Irregular Heart Beat (IHB) monitoring although, as guided by the instructions, it is worth waiting 5 minutes before taking another reading to confirm it is not a recording error. Minor downsides are the cuff size is on the borderline for an active male so check your arm circumference at rest in case you need a larger size. Also, the duration of the blood pressure testing cycle is around 50 seconds - others, apparently are quicker, but other than minor discomfort (as with all bp monitors) this isn't really a problem.

Bought this machine to keep check on Blood Pressure and this model had good reviews. Good price too. However, the readings are not reliable despite following the instructions. It must have developed a fault because readings vary too widely from one to the next reading taken only a few minutes later. However, I have had it too long to return it (about 6 weeks). Not recommended.

I bought this about a year ago. I have found it difficult to use as the cuff is virtually impossible to secure in the correct place on the upper arm. The instructions are fairly useless. The readings are always high, mostly I suspect due to the frustration of trying to get the cuff on and read the instructions. I now take multiple readings until I get one that seems to be within the expected range. If I die of heart failure I have told my wife to sue.

Great product, works well, easy to read and understand. Comes with case and instructions and guidelines which are useful if you are not sure whether your reading is within the acceptable limit.

I ordered this to keep a check on my varying high blood pressure readings on the advice of my doctor. It does exactly that and at a price most people can afford. Its easy to use and I think accurate and stores your reedings for the future use. You don't need to spend a lot more money on this type of product it does what is required of it.
