This is the cat standard. Ours sometimes sleep on the scratch pad, take a passing swipe at the ball, or sit in front of it for a couple of minutes, showing off their bimanual dexterity by slapping the ball back and forth. The track does not wear out. We have occasionally bought another just for the pleasure it gives us.

Smitty played with this for hours. Even heard him playing with it a lot overnight!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The KittenLady recommended this toy for kittens and cats. I believe she links this exact one. Anyways, it’s great, my kitten loves it. Must play sessions end with her cooling down at this toy and sometimes even clocking out with her paw on the ball or in the track. Cutest thing ever. 10/10 would recommend. Size: The size of the toy is quite large, so it can potentially work all through out a cats life. Creating a really strong bond between the cat and the toy. Value for money: It’s dirt cheap, but the plastic is quite sturdy. I wouldn’t dare test the sturdiness out of fear breaking it be of my kitten’s favorite toys. The scratch in the middle is run of the mill, you get what you pay for. Comes with a bag of cat nip to get your kitty hooked on the first day. Pretty smart, cat mind control. Makes you think of the real world for a second. Capitalism, kind of scary, don’t think about it.

I may go up to 5 stars on this unique, but simple cat toy and scratcher if Callie plays with it as time passes. I took it out of the box, sprinkled a little catnip on the scratcher (I will mention that Callie has never liked or paid attention to catnip)..and set it down on the floor. I expected nothing..since that's her response to any toy I have ever given her. She is one picky cat. She did love those foam balls, but could rip one to shreds in minutes and if I tossed it to her, she did carry it back to me in her mouth. Now that was something to see..a retriever cat :) But she ripped them to shreds, made a terrible mess and I worried she might choke on the bits. I won't list all the toys and such I have given her. All she needed to do was yawn, they bored her. She began batting the ball around and to her own delight, couldn't run fast enough to keep up with it. It makes a satisfying sound. She played with it for about an hour..and then decided to take a bath. Doing that, she licked catnip off her foot. Ummmm tried it again. If she could have reached her back feet, she might have washed those too. But this is not a review of the catnip. I think this is an amazingly simple, gratifying game for any cat. She fell asleep after the catnip licking..so I don't know if she'll play with it again. I think she will. Silly comment: I wish I could have chosen the blue toy. The magenta one clashes with my rug. LOL..just joking... p.s. I bought 2 extra scratcher pads for the toy..that's what high hopes I have for it. Good product, very good shipping..came exactly on time..and OnCare, which hasn't till now impressed me..did today when they set the box right in front of my door. Good delivery OnCare..the UPS package was right next to it. I believe OnCare is really trying.

My cats absolutely love this thing. I really didn't think it'd be that much of a big deal since it's "just" a circle with a scratch pad, but no. They REALLY get into it, it's super cute, and burns off a lot of energy. Only tough part is that they get so excited and forceful, the ball in the track tends to end up yanked outside of the track and then off to who-knows-where until i stumble across it. Be prepared to get extra balls as they are sized to move fast, they aren't EASILY removed but with cats that get excited about it, they can easily get it out. The scratchers are unexpectedly great as well, and easily cleaned out if i dump catnip on the thing which I do frequently. It seems a bit expensive for some plastic but it's well put together, the inserts fit snugly but not so snug you won't break the tabs reinstalling new ones, and the fun they have with it means it pays for itself nearly instantly.

my maine coon played with this from day one and still uses it daily 8 month on, saves the furniture from scratching as well was recommended on a youtube video and the reviewer was 100% correct, havent had to replace the scratch pad yet its well used

Very steady if put directly on a carpet. I did not assemble this toy to my floor. On a carpet is ok to use and this toy doesn’t move on a carpet. Scratcher in a middle - perfect , it is from carton paper which is good to scratch and cats usually loves cardboard and carton paper . My cat loves to play with a boll . Perfect toy for a small cat, do not need to assemble . Good price and fast delivery. Feel Happy !
